lookin great man, keep the pics coming. what kind of light are you using for your first 4 weeks of veg? im considering starting to use a 430w hps light for veg but have absolutely no experience vegging with anything but cfl's...any tips?

lol yeah the hood is an xxxl, its like 3 feet across. For veg, I had my 1000w Ushio MH in my hood (its switchable) and had my Lumatek 1000w ballast switched down to 600w. So i vegged under a 600w mh for 4 full weeks although i feel as if 3 would have been enough, since the plants grew so much under 12.12 that I simply cannot raise my light any further. Luckily, they are filling out and not reaching for the light anymore lol

Veg under blue spectrum. It is very possible to veg with hps, but i would stick to a high output t-5 if youre looking to conserve energy. The red spectrum causes more stretching in the plant, and in veg you want it as compact as your strain is possible of growing.

goddamnit i just noticed the drippers on four girls (the back row) got clogged from powder nutrients. they likely missed out their watering on wednesday, and who nows how much water they got on monday before they were clogged up. so i hand watered them, and all should be well. thats what i get for not checking the drip on wednesday, gotta check it every time. i cant wait for piranha and tarantula to come out in liquid form, then ill be clog free
