I think what MAY happen is passive resistance at first.

If millions of ppl refuse to participate in the health care welfare program.....it will collapse.

I will be one of those ppl. I will NOT participate. I will NOT pay any fines either....I'd rather give my lawyer 100k than a dime to the health care welfare program.
Now that sounds pretty damn American to me. :)

I don't think you have anything to worry about, you'll still be able to qualify for Medicaid and Social Security Disability and not pay anything, all you have to do is show them a few of your posts on here.
You are right that I can get qualified, but wrong for the reason...I'm not surprised at that part. Even though I could probably buy and sell you 50 times over....I have been able to hide most off my wealth overseas beyond the grasp of this socialist govt.

Which is EXACTLY why these programs always end up deeply in the red. It never works...but you keep flailing at those human nature windmills, while the rest of us pass you by.

Now that sounds pretty damn American to me. :)
Dat's right Vi! Passive resistance is all this will take since the MAJORITY of the country is OUTRAGED about health care welfare already.

I may even start a web site about it...it might just catch on.
But for the same reason I just told FLAE (my assets), I may just have to do it under an assumed name. they would surely be after me lucky charms. They are after everyone's.

the US government derives almost 80% of its income from consumerism . this solution is EASY to solve. just stop purchasing anything you do not need.
the governments revenues will collapse as they are already doing.
they will be forced to print more money making money worth less and less and less untill it is eventually junk.
you cant buy power with junk money and when the country is bankrupted.
these progressives will change their tune when starvation sits in.
no jobs in the economy ..they voted for it.
as bad a shit sandwich that everyone is eating in the economy right now most people who were dumb enough to vote for these idiots are eating a double decker shit sandwich of bad economic times.

This recession ain't shit! People in the U.S. have no idea what it means to live through a true collapse. Maybe some of the people who were kids during the great depression but that's about it. We have it so easy in this country. If we had a real collapse, and I mean REAL collapse, over half the population would starve to death within the first 2 weeks. So many people are so reliant on technology and all the luxuries we enjoy in today's society. Even some of the people who might do ok during a collapse would probably die without internet or cell phones. bongsmilie

Hey doc ...

A good friend of mine lived under the Marxist regime in Romania, which was the strictest and most repressive of the Soviet states. She tells me that the people didn't finally rise up until the market shelves were empty. At that point in time, over 100,000 people surrounded the palace, drug Nicolae Ceausesu, and his wife outside, and shot them to death. Romania is a booming capitalistic, free market society today.

I also had a friend (now deceased sadly) who grew up in Communist Poland. If you wanted Vodka... you had to make it urself. Bathtub style. Many ppl went blind.

He LOVED this country and would be at those tea parties today if he was still around.

Oh, that's right, it was a paradise on earth before the latest asshole was sworn in. I don't like him either, but if you would look up from the keyboard every once in a while, you would have seen that Bush left this country pretty fucked up after his 8 years of being a dumbass.

uh if you were really to look up this shit started with FDR and TEDDY ROOSEVELT .
clinton in my opinion is more responsible than any other for signing NAFTA and GATT and he gave permanent most favored trade status to china. (the republicans were in on it too)
and lets not forget greenspan setting interest rates at 1% and leaving them there for over a year to make clintons economy look better than it was. all based on borrowed money clintons economy was.
none of this shit is new you have been getting fucked from both sides..it is just the dems dont try and hide it.

did not read the whole thread. but i gues the one thing we can be thankful for is there is finally someone who is trying to change the world. unfortunately, they are not changing it to everyones likings. i do hop ethough he doesnt change the 4 year presidential term to indefinite, but that would be what I would do if I was trying to take over the world...

N one said it was a paradise.....that is unobtainable with a population of liberals within our borders....

But we weren't worried about our own govt. making such BONEHEAD and NAIVE moves as to seal our future into insolvency.

Obama is carving our national headstone. The people see that now....except you.

Living document.

I embrace the right to privacy.

Save the babies, but kill the convicts. Hypocrisy!

Republicans are worse.
Obama (statist) quotes...

Ultimately, though, I have to side with Justice Breyer’s view of the Constitution—that it is not a static but rather a living document, and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world.

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obama-constitution-is-living-document

And so my criteria, for example, would be-- if a Justice tells me that they only believe the strict letter of the Constitution-- that means that they possibly don't mean-- believe in-- a right to privacy that may not be perfectly enumerated in the Constitution but, you know, that I think is there.

I mean, the-- the right to marry who you please isn't in the Constitution. But I think all of us assume that if a state-- decided to pass a law saying, "Brian, you can't marry the woman you love," that you'd think that was unconstitutional. Well, where does that come from? I think it comes from a right to privacy-- that may not be listed in the Constitution but is implied by the structure of the Constitution.

Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.

"The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," Obama said in his July speech to abortion advocates worried about the increase of pro-life legislation at the state level.

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is legislation Obama has co-sponsored along with 18 other senators that would annihilate every single state law limiting or regulating abortion, including the federal ban on partial birth abortion.

I welcome this debate, but we are not going to get relief by turning back to the same policies that for the last eight years doubled the national debt and threw our economy into a tailspin.

What do you think a stimulus is? It’s spending — that’s the whole point! Seriously.

In point of fact you are more of a threat to the Conservative movement than I am.
At least you've admitted you are indeed a threat to the conservative movement. All the whilst, claiming to be one...

The right to privacy holds regardless of the size of government.
No such "right" exists.

Which means individual states cannot arbitrarily discriminate based on sexual orientation.
You have the gall to speak of arbitrary decisions (roe v wade)? That takes the cake. As for gay marriage discrimination, no state laws, that I know of, say gays can't get married. The laws I'm familiar with say that marriage shall be defined as a union between a man and a woman. The only group being discriminated against are the hermaphrodites. Although, I'm pretty sure hermaphrodites get to legally choose which sex they will be on their birth certificate. Right John?

Denying someone the same privilege granted to another person based on bigotry is dictating the specifics.
No, the specifics are dictated by elected state officials and individual citizens via referendum. Arbitrary is the courts or the feds deciding the specifics.

It has no place in the public square. Religion is a private affair.
Statist.

And out the window goes all that Big Tent bullshit.
The most cogent thing you've said all year. Statists like you tried to pigeon hole the Republicans as big tenters. I think that you are either with us patriots (R), or against us (D, third party). There can no longer be a middle ground, for the foreseeable future, if this country is to survive, as founded. Passivity is what delivered us to you statists, on a silver platter.

@ Viredd :Romania is a booming capitalist society???...pfffff. Its a hell hole where children are locked up in rotting buildings and forgotten about....Do your resarch before spouting shit, as per... "Romania's Booming Organ Trade" Romania: Organs for sale - The organ trade is booming in Romania -most of the buyers are rich foreigners. Trade in organs is officially banned, but business is flourishing. For many Romanians, selling a kidney is a way to survive.

As long as the Constitution is amendable, it is alive.

Unless you believe it is outdated and obsolete, as many Progressives do.

If the Constitution is not a living document, it is dead. Thus irrelevant.

It's really getting comical how you keep trying (and failing) to portray me as a statist when you keep exposing yourself.
