Not what I expected...

First time poster and first time grower so bare with me.

I started with a simple flow hydro system and at first the stuff exploded with growth. I'm almost at two and half weeks but it seems like the plants have stopped growing in height and started putting on the weight. They are so bushy. I didn't think this would be a problem, or is it even? I topped 3 of the plants but, again, they are not growing in height. I figured maybe they are getting to much light so I pulled the lights a little higher but that doesn't make sense. I'm at 3/4nutes strength of Ioanic grow.
I want to trim the big leaves but that will slow growth even more?
My one concern is that I"m using small netpots (3") but I didn't think that would be an issue with hydroponics. If I look in the pipes I see lots of root growth.

Anyway I'm confused and obviously missing something.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

get larger net pots and put the lights back to where they are supposed to be and you will be good to go. they look great by the way

They're fine....they grow short and bushy first then get taller. If you top the plan it slows vertical growth and promotes horizontal growth (fat bushy), so if you are looking to get taller plants don't top them....if you want short bushes top them.

Don't get bigger net pots. That makes absolutely NO difference in hydro/aero. The plant can't become root bound, as they can grow uninhibited; thus, it isn't your net pot.I have grown them to 4.5' tall in 3" net pots. The most likely culprit is your 3/4 strength nutes. Looking at your last pic I can see the beginnings of a micronutrient deficiency in the two largest leaves as well. Just as a general go-by at 2 weeks my nutes are around 1200ppm. Also, keep your lights as close as you can without burning your plants. Also remember Indica will stay shorter and fatter than her sativa friends. I have also noticed a lot of the growth for Indica happens after you flip to 12/12....but they should be about 3x the size that they are. Good luck buddy.

Do you have 1,899 posts of de de de besides this one?

Those plants are great looking. They are only bushing because you topped them.
