Not too many trichomes?

so with the time shortening in the day, I put her in the window yesterday due to all of your "lighting" recommendations... What can I say, yall were definitely right! Day and a half in sunlight and I have new calyxes and white pistils all over the plant. Still sticking to 12/12 by getting it in the sun on an alarm, and out as well. I will post a whole plant pic "Le Pic" one moment while I snap a shot...

it all depends on when the trichs are ready so i would start looking at them to see if there done to your liking then chop it
but if its grow "new buds" then it should be a while and i would look to see when the new growth trichs are done

Okay good deal. Finally, upon looking through my loupe today, the trichs on the calyxes are starting to mostly sand up tall like the leaves rather than looking like dew drops. I think she may be on the right track in all that natural sunlight. Thanks everyone who helped!

If you live in the midwest there is not wild marijuana growing in the sense it will ruin your crop outdoors lol. There is not pollen clouds floating around lol. It is too late to plant outside but........ That sucks dude. After 12 weeks of flowering you probably should have thrown this away. Terrible genetics probably or a light spectrum issue.

And with all due respect, I mean no harm, I have grown ugly plants before but.............. That plant is probably the most hurt plant I have seen, genetics and DNA wise, next to a male plant with no flowers at all. : ( If there is any weed growing wild in your area, it probably looks similar to your plant. No flowers.

I wouldnt even take the time to dry that or even make hash with it.

the THC (frosty love) is sugar. a complex sugar, but a sugar none-the-less
to increase the amount present, add sweeteners. my first grow, i got a bottle of stuff called "Sweet" and like 2 days later they were frosted.
the bloom stuff makes big nugs, but the sweeteners make them frosty, sticky, and yummy.
do it asap, cuz the last week or so you want nothing but pure water (some sweeteners you can use up to harvest, those are good choices, ask your local hydro store dude, most grow 'oranges' and know how to maximize the taste)
no lie, the dude at my hydro place said he had some oranges from japan going, and he used this and that, and i bought it all, used it on herb, and my face started sweating when i smoked it. =)

I had to say something because there is clouds of floating pollen. 4 diff times outdoor now in midwest and seeds everytime.

Its just shitty genetics I wouldve thrown that out week 3

I have 4 plants under a single 125w CFL and they are starting to be covered in trich's at week 4. I hang the bulb literally 2" from the top of the plant.... if you can put your hand between the bulb and the plants without it being uncomfortably hot, they will be fine. I made the mistake of having my bulb 4-6 inches over plant on my first grow this year. Moving them closer made all the difference!!

Hope this helps

There is definitely ALOT of wild weed around where I am at... It is terrible. I could drive up and down my gravel road and spot at least 30 plants over 4 miles... Well at least I could til I pulled em all lol. I seed up EVERYTIME I plant outdoors. I live where their used to be a TON of hemp factories back in the day so there is definitely clouds of pollen... I was asking if their is a point in the summer that most of the males have already opened their pollen sacks for a future grow. I have never grown indoors and am not doing well at it now... Guess its all a learning exp lol. I have AK seeds and all these "free" seeds that came w my order. I figure I am doing the smart thing by trial and error, before I actually get these AK seeds goin. I put them down for germination yesterday. I also purchased a 400w HPS yesterday, so that should help dramatically.

interesting local conditions, not the problem we have in the northeast
seeded bud can be very good, you do lose out on quantity though
but with all the hemp around, that sounds like prime stealth, whose going to notice a few more mj plants?

I just read about how wild hemp can cross pollinate and make a flower producing plant very weak.

Almost sounded how your plant looks. Being that you got the seed online though.................. Terrible genetics. I imagine it is possible to get a retarded plant just like people can have chromosone issues.

Yea you couldn't use wild weed as cover you would have males in there pollinating away.
But it seems like the males start pollinating in mid july and end in early august in my area. I too have grown out a couple that didn't get trashed and were not as seeded because they were planted in late june. So when wild weed was pollinating they were still vegging and to immature to get effected as bad if it had buds all over it.

...
seeded bud isn't the end of the world
especially if you have some large plants
pollinating with hemp pollen should not affect the genetics of the plant seeded
it should pump out resin just the same, though different in character from unseeded

Your right in a sense but I have had female plants get pollinated from the get go and trust me It ends up being all seeds no bud.

that is true, a lot of seed in your weed
but let's say we are getting a pound off a prime female, even very seedy bud should be 1/4 good stuff, probably a bit more
if your growing area is effectively stealthed because it's loaded with hemp, there's the value of being lower risk, both from leo and rippers
but it's one of those deals, if you don't want seedy bud, then it's a non starter

If you want more trichomes, I would suggest buying a few reptile UVB CFL's. UVB stimulates THC production to an extent, which is probably why you noticed a slight rebound when putting your plant in the window.

That has happened to me. I have also had a few not seed up too bad. Most of them were straight seeds in EVERY calyx. The plant is continuing to improve. I will post more when the sun comes up in the AM. let me know if you think this is good improvement. Again, I am an indoor retard. I like to plant, wait and water. This light scheduling and ventillation and all the mess that comes with indoor growing is very new to me.

I HATE SEEDS! I mean if I am gonna take the time to grow, why in the world would I want to take the time to shake all the seeds out? I smoke to relax my nerve condition. Medication shouldn't be that much work. It doesn't end up 1/4 good anyhow around here when they pollinate that bad. I have literally looked over a few that have done this and couldn't find a single calyx w/o a seed. So just remember... There are a lot of disadvantages to a full legalization. Hemp crops will occur again and this crap will happen nationwide... Not that the disadvantages aren't FAAAAAAAAAAAAR outweighed by the benefits lol.
