Not sure if I will be good with the amount of lumens

Could someone let me know if I have an area of 32 inches wide, 28 inches deep, 4 feet tall, would or could I get away with only using 8400 lumens ? It's only a single plant stealth grow. Last time we used a 150w HPS which was too difficult and too much work to control the heat. This time we are thinking of using two CFL's, when we switch to flowering, each giving off 4200L at 2700K. I'm hoping that this will still be sufficient enough to hopefully produre a decent bud.

8400lumens. Err no.

What wattage are your lights?

Actual wattage not equivalent!!

Most folks when choosing cfl's use around 100w (actual wattage) per plant.

You'll want to encompass the plant with lights not just hang them above.

You can try it but I don't think you will get the results you're looking for.
You're going to be using 136 watts that yield 8400 lumens when by using that 150 hps it's only 14 watts more but you'll get 16,000 lumens. That's close enough to say you get double the light output for only 14 watts. I would use the 150 hps and put a fan blowing between the light and the tops of the plants. I use 2 120mm PC fans for intake/exhaust in a small 2x2 tent with a 150hps and it keeps my temps under 80F always
