Not sure how to best set this growbox up

I have a chest that I installed an exhaust fan in, light timer, thermometer and humidity reader, made it light proof, but I can't figure out how to set up the lights.

I have some 42 watt CFLs, and I bought the little screw in thing that would let it connect to a standard wall jack.

Then I just took some extension cables and connected the lightbulbs to that.

This works, but I don't have any clear way of securing them to the top of the box.

I tried velcro and 3M dual lock, but the force of gravity appears to be too strong for this.

What I'd like to do is just set up the light bulbs parallel to the top of the box, in order to maximize space.

I just don't know how to easily make them stay
suspended in the air.

Also, before they fell off from the velcro, I had the lights and fan going as a test run. They would easily stay around temperatures like 90-100.

I have one exhaust fan and one fan just blowing on the lights, but they don't seem to be helping much.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Honestly...I know this isnt gonna make you happy but cmon...every single other person on here has lights that are suspended right? Read some journals, look at some pics and you will see a wide variety of ways of hanging lights...

Tie a loop in the light cable and loop it over a hook in the roof maybe? Screw in hooks are cheap as. A better way would be duct tape a loop of strong twine around the cable, and hang it from that...you dont want to weaken the cable in the power cord by tying it in a tight knot.

Well, doing that would make them hang perpendicular to the top of the box, rather than parallel.

However, using hooks might help to support it horizontally as well...
I'll consider doing that. Thank you.

for about the same price as what u bought. you can get a porcelin socket and just screw it to the sides of your box. that will give u ur harizontal lightin. they are the little cheap sockets usually found in attics and basements.

That's a good idea, but do those connect to just like a standard wall socket?
I don't know crap about wiring and stuff, and I am afraid of just starting a fire by doing things wrong.
