Not sexed but want to flower

I'm 5 weeks into veg right now using reg seeds and want to flip them soon but don't know the sex yet.

What should I do? Their in one gallon pots at the moment and I have 3 gallon and 7 gallon pots ready.

Should I transplant them and flip or should I keep them in the 1 gallon pots, flip, then transplant after sexing which sounds stressful. Or just continue veg until they show sex?

Should have gotten fem seeds although these reg seeds are good practice I was just hoping they would have shown pre flowers sooner.

Just took cuttings but I rather not re veg and stress the cuttings out. Any advice appreciated.

Take 1 of your cuttings from each of your (mothers), put in a solo (beer) cup or similar with water. Put it in 12/12. Very often they will show sex even before rooting, not always but it's one method.

maybe take some good pictures of the 5th and 6th node, and zoom in on the computer. or look with a loupe, you may see clear pre-flowers. transplant the ones that look like girls and leave the boys in smaller pot. then flower the girls, and put the others in as they show. just one way to skin the cat.

You say you have 3 gallon and 7 gallon pots ready. Which are you wanting to finish in?

I go from 1 gallon into 3 gallon, and then I wait for them to show sex. I like to finish in 7 gallon pots but I don't want to fill all those big pots and put in all that work just to find out they're males. Maybe I'm lazy, but it just seems like a waste.

Personally, I think putting them in 3 gallons would be best. Then you could either finish them in the 3's, or if you decide you want bigger plants, transplant into 7's a couple weeks before you flip.

Thanks for the advice guys. Transplanting my 4 plants into 3 gallon pots sounds like a good idea. I'll check them good tomorrow but it's been 40 days and I don't think I saw any signs of sex maybe a tiny bit on one.

That's crazy clones can show sex without rooting. My cuttings are bent over a drooping so idk if I should stress them further it's my first time taking cuttings and I'm worried about them. I think the stems are immature and they are top heavy. The cuttings with thicker stems are standing upright but that's only from 1 plant.

If I get more than 2 females I'll probably flower them in the 3 gallons do to space and light restrictions.

If it's only 1-2 females I may transplant again into 7 gallons but the extra transplant means extra time.

That's the bad thing about regular seeds is choosing how many times to transplant, pot size, space, and time for sexing. Also wasting nutes on potential males.

I have to say working with these cheap reg seeds 4 at a time has been a great learning experience opposed to popping 1-2 precious fem seeds. They are really vigorous and very good for practicing cloning on multiple plants.

Hopefully they show sex while still in the 1 gallons if I keep them in there a little longer so I can just put the females in the 7 gallon.

But yeah transplanting them into 3 gallon pots now would work out well if I got like 3-4 females out of the 4 so I can do a nice little lst sog.

I did the same thing, growing from seed, and all in 5 gallon pots right now. I'm about 5 weeks into veg and only one plant so far showed sex, a female. There's one that's towering over the rest and I thought for sure would be female, but now suspecting it could be male. There are little pods forming, but too early to tell if male ore female. I planted 16 seeds thinking maybe a few would pop up, but they all popped up, so here I am. Constantly shitting myself every day, but taking these girls to flower. Good luck with the farming. Hope most are ladies!
