Not liking this aero cloner

you dont need a dome almost with anything weed related.

It helps with media based clones more so then water culture.

Ive done aero and bubble in one firm or another for probably 12 plus years.

I also can get 100% with rapid rooters and rockwool.

But my aero is fastest followed by bubble followed br rockwool.

My fastest ever roots where 5 days from cut
And they where roots not bumps.

I have never had them root faster any other way.

Now that being said if you do awsome in rockwool

Why would you want to try an aero or bubbler set up?

I would choose the best method that works in my situation :)
To answer your last question,...I was bored. The bubble cloner is working really well but I do have my trusty rockwool if I need it.

With aerocloner, no need to trim leaves, do not use a humidity dome , do not add "nutes"
73° - 78° works well for me, I shoot for 76°, non PH'd tap water, if you feel the need to add something , 5mil of pro teck & 5 mil of kln has worked for me. Pump on 24 - 7 , low intensity light, I use florescent @18" above.
Take your cuts , put in pucks comel back in 14 days.
IMHO, muuuch easier than wool, or riots. I've been using the same clone king for the last 5yrs+,
very close 100%
I did a bunch of DIY's, most a continuous waste of money.

Good luck in whatever method you choose.
I’m guessing you are using a chiller along with your aero cloner to keep at those temps. If not, I have no clue how to keep the temps in the 70s. The ambient air is pretty mild,..70-75. I think I’m going to be using the bubble cloner. The roots are growing fast as shiiiiiz and the temps eeeeeeeasily stay in the 70s

I can’t believe how crappy looking these clones came out. Decent roots but they took forever. The problem is most likely with me being used to using rockwool rather than the problem bein* the actual cloner. Obviously I can’t deny that you guys pump are some killer roots with these automated propagators. Like the guy above me said, I will probably go back to rockwool,..but I didn’t want be discriminative against auto cloner machines haha. Have a good day everyone!

Oh, I post a pic of the mother plant just so people can see it came from a healthy mother which is the number one factor in rooting p. Bad mother’s equal little to no chance of a harvest from its cuttings...ime

I made a little rdwc cloner out of a store bought rdwc bucket and can get roots in five days most times. It is a fun little contraption.

Here’s a link to a pic

I’ve never been successful taking clones in cubes without a dome, trust me I’ve tried lol. Not sure what the deal is but if I don’t cover them they shrivel up and die :(.

It is a fun thing to tinker with. Roots are all forming, I think I just do overall better in rockwool. And don’t you temps skyrocket?
I do real well in root riot cubes, built an aero cloner but have yet to plug it in, figured why bother, I start to get roots in 6 days for most strains but some take way longer lol.

And i have plucked a clone and thrown it in a cube with nothing and it rooted i have pics lol

Not saying they cant help but you can do it without

Thats why i enjoy aero .

I have never had droopy plants in hydro cloners unless the water level was too low.

Different strokes for different enviroments.

If your in a dry hot climate a dome would help a lot :) if your cloning in media anyways

I straight abused some cuts just to see if they would root.

I stuck them in the rockwool cube a full veg plant is in
And gave it full strength nutes from day 1

They took a few weeks but they are rooted and activly growing now :)

I find it incredibly easy,..almost fool proof when rooting in rockwool. I love the stuff, but ecos hate me for it ✌

Funny, I use used res water to soak my cuttings, seems to work well.

I find if you give heavy nutes to cuttings it makes them root slower but they start to grow above ground but takes longer to get root below.

But they still root and grow like weeds lol
Since using root riot cubes I’ve been getting roots starting at 6 days which is faster than my RW by 4-5 days.
