I don't know much about canadian law or politics, but I live in one of the 2 most liberal states in the US. Cannabis has been legal recreationally here since December of 2016.
We can possess, grow and consume. That includes concentrates and edibles. It's a paradise except....
We cant legally buy it yet, and the date is continuously being pushed out so they can "prepare". I'm not sure what they need to prepare for.
Medical has been legal for years, and while there are only a handful of dispensaries, they do exist. Growers are ready; there is one operation with a million square feet of greenhouse space ready and waiting.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of towns (we are a town based state) have voted to opt out; meaning they won't allow the sale of cannabis or any related paraphernalia or services.
So I feel for you folks. I don't really care that dispensaries aren't open since I grow more than I can use. But the legal limbo you are in is saddening/maddening.
But on a brighter note I can buy all the AR-15's, bump stocks, large capacity clips, and ammo I can afford. Gotta keep those children safe.
Politicians are cowards, and the anti's are vocal. So sad.....
