Got a harvest coming down any day now, I gotta be outta town for 4 days. I will have the buds cut, dried and jarred in a few days from now, but I won't be able to burp for the first few days, will the buds go mouldy?

This is probably the best outcome. Just paranoid about not being home with the exhaust fan running 24/7, gotta keep it all stealth where I am so I cut and hang the plants in the tent.
Open a zipper and leave an oscillating fan on low. Use a timer to run the inline only as long as needed to remove scent. You got me. Just blamed my ferrets for the smell back in the closet days.

I hang dry in a tent as well.
My filter/exhaust only runs when I hit 65% at 20% speed for a slow dry.
On 24/7 could be dry 2-3 days- did this by accident. Lost a bit of smells, but not total loss.
Definitely better to slow dry imo.
Everyone has their way.

Supplier not suggested. Easiest I have found. And drilling glass is messy potentially hazardous. Metal lids. Drill hole in them. Insert a piece of airline tubing in hole. Insert valve. Tube is seal between barb and lid. KISS.

Just another thought. No arguments. Peace.

Right now my tent has everything hanging and %is around 65, goes down when I turn the fan on. Humidity outside the tent is 30%.

I think you could just turn the lights off and try the 4days of darkness broscience, then do a proper dry and cure when you return.

I do like the drilling through the metal lids like michi-can posted its safer and easier i just couldn't find large enough jars with metal lids and had these jars for years.

I'm sure I am not alone in the jar pursuit or insane costs this year. I am now strictly a jar exchange policy.

Those jars are nice that you use. Just hard to latch and unlatch. I see the need for elimination.

Dollar Tree sells smaller ones for a buck a piece. I bought a few cases. Happy after a year with004.jpg them.
