i got job now and i work 8 hrs a day. does that mean i get paid for 8 hrs or do they like take an hour off because of breaks making me only get for like 7 hours?

yea might just get an o and a bong then put the rest away.
and i kinda figured out the answer to my own question. im guesing we get 2 breaks 15 min each. cuz working from 7-3 is 8 hours and then 2 breaks sounds about right

Depends on the employer. I get paid lunches and smoke breaks.

you might lose 30 min for lunch... but your breaks should be paid. and what smok3h said, the govt. is gonna take it's unfair share and then some... always try and have a cash stash for the rainy day as mentioned by the bear... stay high

dude just read up on the labor laws in your state; seriously you gotta know your rights before someone can sense you don't know any better and takes advantage of you. It happened to me until I got the state involved, now I enjoy uninterupted breaks =D

7-3:30= 8.5 hours. Take of 1/2 hour for lunch thats 40 hours/wk.Breaks are usually paid by the employer.
