Not aphids and don't think thrips I've sprayed

All through veg and into a couple weeks into bloom.
Now 4 weeks into bloom these buggers are coming to party.

I've never had these before and the leaves I've sprayed that had em on it didn't effect em.
Fairly good sized critter and very easy to see almost the size of a small flea.

I agree, probably feeding.
You got a real problem.
There are insecticides for weed, you probably should look into that. A "fogger" maybe.
It's a big job, but you may have to wash each and every leaf, several times.
Bugs are one of the reasons that I switched to DWC.

looks like some type of thrip? monterey garden spray but 4 weeks in flower? i wouldnt spray anything! its so many tho where did they come from? lol

I'm in rdwc. I went in with lights out and didn't see a single bug. I was gonna spray some Humboldt secret flower shield. I have a green light to see but could see anything I looked on the under side of the leaves and they were on the underside chilling. So in 12/12 of lights out they are on the underside of the leaf and lights on on the top side. I talked to humboldts and they told me to spray a mild solution during lights out. They weren't sure what it was, but told me it was risky spraying that late on some plants. So I was gonna do it while lights out with a very mild solution.

This is how far I'm in flower on some plants. No way could I wash every leaf. I prob have 10,000 leaves lol

I have had spider mites, aphids, fungas gnats etc all in the past just like everybody else but never seen this critter before


I have like 5 different types of insecticides thinking about getting a squirt bottle and just test on some leaves on the outside edges of my rows to see if any of them can kill em or drive em away.

If it don’t have Spinosad in it then they won’t die.. take a leaf outside spray with Monterey garden spray and watch them die ... if they don’t then they aren’t thrips but from the shape of them and with them feeding off leaf.. sounds like a thrip to me...

No, guess it would have to be soil because I did put 2 plants in soil to flower and have them sitting over by themselves. But those 2 plants didn't have anything on em at first. They do now though.

How big is the thrip? These are about identical in size to a flea that u see on your dog.

Well after spraying some leaves down with flower shield it did not do anything to them but did cinge the white hairs on the bud on the test spots.

I was digging deep in the canapy in the middle of the flower room and noticed their wasn't many bugs directly under the lights. Was mainly on lower leaves or outside edges. The difference was like 1-2 critters vs 12 or more per leaf.

I thought about misting plants down with just straight water as soon as lights go out. Bugs still on top of leaves feeding and can wash em off down to the ground. Room has a drain the floor and concrete all slants toward drain. With the dehumidifier and fans blowing it shouldn't risk of mold in the bigger bud.

This is a 16x 8 area that has 21 plants in 20 gal totes. Plants are not small lol.

you can clearly see them.. not sure about fleas never had or seen them, but thrips also dont like the light and they run when you poke at them kind of fast... so not sure yours look like fully size adults are they starting to fly?

Nope never seen any of em fly

With at least another 4-6 weeks to go until the end of harvest personally I would look at getting yourself

HOT SHOT NO PEST STRIP.

the half life is pretty short and you should have a long enough window to get those critters gone without any real impact on your end product.

I wounder if diatomaceous earth could help, if you do try it I'd try to burn it first see what happens. That white powder is lethal to nearly all bugs.
