Considering the season is from ~ May 14th to end of September or early October, autos aren't a bad idea. Sometimes in NEO, it can get to be like 40 and rainy as the high in October real fast.
I think that finding something that finishes by then is important. There is plenty of veg growth for a plant. If a 1-ft tall plant was put outside in the 2nd week in may, it would have no problem being 6-ft tall by September. A lot of people try to use bagseed for outdoors and that's fun but its hit-or-miss. Bagseed could be mexican brick schwag sativa (which could be dynamo if it wasn't cut v early). Point being, mexican sativa bagseed might not be done by Oct when weather could be shitty.
I did some Durban P x Skunk outdoors, cut it early like 2nd week n sept and the buds were still decent considering I put very little effort into them. Bluecheese was a pain in the ass, and it didn't agree with a wet end of sept and early oct. We'll see how Satori does this year. Mandala #1 looks cool. It'd be nice to have some DONE by sept 28th
Edit => To more directly answer your question, Mandala has 2 varieties that end in sept or early oct. Mandala #1 can supposedly be done in sept. Hashberry can be pulled 1st week in oct. Both lines have some degree of mold / pest protection, and well as easy nute requirements. I tend to believe them. I'm doing some satori and it's a pleasure so far, but satori wouldn't finish fast enough.
