3/4 is pretty deep man, you only need to plant them about a 1/4 inch from the surface.
i germ mine until the seed shell is juuust about to fall off and put them in so the soil just about covers them. planted some last night and they sprouted by the time i woke up.

YOu could lightly scratch some of the surface away but not recomened cause you could damage it. Patience grasshopper.

dont worry man my roots have grown into the paper towel before. in fact it happened with a seeds i just plant and i actually slightly damaged the end trying to rip it out. that one is now my strongest seedling!Damn i hope ur plants are ok.... i just planted mine and now im kinda scared.....
My seeds roots were growing into the paper towel and i forgot which pot didnt have a seed in it so i had i might have hurt one of my beans

Well, I'm back on RIU with some good news and some bad news.
Bad News: All 4 of my PP seeds are FUCKED (pardon my french)
Good News: I somehow acquired 2 seeds!! from a bag of weed that was referred to me as "Diesel", I'm assuming its NYC Diesel. Would I be wrong to assume that?
So, these two seeds have been germinated and sprouted out of the ground! They are in the same potting soil I used before but this time are under lights inside. (I'm gonna upgrade the lighting soon I think.)
Can someone give me info on Diesel? Height? Inside v. Outside? Stuff like that. I haven't seen anything about it with my first searches, and asking you guys is easier haha.

My grapefruit X NYCD is the best strain I've ever grown. If it's Soma's NYCD then it will finish really late.

Also, i have one 140 watt floodlight thing up above my two Diesels (I just found the light laying around my house) and 2 little cfls on the sides which i thought was a really cool idea, is it actually? haha I'll move them around each day just to give light to every little inch of the plant so it grows in every direction. Good idea? Worthless idea? haha

sorry to hear that man! next time dont germ all of your seeds at the same time. my PP is that smallest seeding i've got going right now, i hope it picks up.

What was the flavor and appearance of the Diesel? Color, smell, flavor, calyx size, ect..............?

what kind of bulb is the floodlight? if its a halogen then its useless but if its a hps, mh, or Flouro it will work.

The funnny thing is, I never saw the bud. I got the seeds from a family member who unfortunately can't give me a good description other than that it was kinda sage green? Idk.
The floodlight i think is an HPS, but i dont really know, its wierd haha. But it seems to be working! one is about 2 inches, and the other is an inch or a little more
