Northern Lights Smell

I've read that on a scale of 1-10 the NL strain is about a 2 on odor and the smell is does produce doesn't smell like weed? I've heard it smells minty or fruity different things..
my question is this.. Are NL so low odor that one could get away with using no carbon filter? Maybe just throw some air fresheners on there and putter those shitty little carbon filters im between exhaust duct and exhaust hole? ( one of these m.target.com/p/fellowes-carbon-filter-for-dx95-air-purifier-4-pack/-/A-14915613?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=google_pla_df&LNM=14915613&CPNG=Unassigned&kpid=14915613&LID=13pgs&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=14915613&kpid=14915613&gclid=COvB9ui09sACFZJr7Aod_CkANA )

Anyone ever gotten away with no carbon filter growing NL and not noticeable smell?

Why risk it? Carbon filters are cheap. The northern lights I grew had more of a piney smell, but there are a lot of different northern lights out there.

I'm growing right now with no carbon filter. It's stinks but the smell doesnt reach outside. But I will be getting a carbon filter to tone it down and help with heat some

Whether you can get by with a carbon filter or not all depends on the environment, if:
-people walk around within 30-40 feet of the grow
-people have reasonable suspicion
(Also consider the # of plants in the grow..)
Then consider getting a filter.

Well I hope mine has a piney smell too lol. I guess I'll find out for myself what kinda smell I'm working with and see what I can do from there.. However I'd like to say I disagree that Carbon filters are cheap lol
