Jack Herrer is really good so how are they not talented I'm not sure if Ben is still Peak Seeds has not made anything close too the level as Sensi from way back till at least Jack Herrer. Peak I never hear about and open pollination does not make it yours it makes you a hack not a quality breeder IMO at least change the name. I just noticed you said theirs is from bcsc so its not so close too the original IBL. I also don't recall Shantibaba saying the parents are dead and would they not have the parents seeds still?

It is not $200+ either it's around 150 at seed boutique I think less which is not too outrageous their is not too many breeders who release IBL's cause obviously a lot of hacks steal your work don't change the name or nothing at least Nirvana had the courtesy to change the name slightly.
He doesn't advertise. Everyone who has grown PeakseedsBC gear swears by it because he's top flight. You believe whatever you want and waste your money wherever you feel. Go through MNS forums on the ortega line. Shanti explicitly states that it's dead. Of course there are seeds from the parents. Peakseeds has those seeds just like a lot of other folks. The difference is he doesn't charge rip off prices and does outstanding breeding.

Jack Herer is nice. Peakseeds Sweet Skunk is stronger smoke though. Trust me, I have an old elite cut of Jack Herer. It's excellent and I love it and I always keep it in the rotation for my stash. But seeds are way too expensive, people have reported questionable quality from recent Sensi seeds for this strain specifically and reports of the parents being lost isn't too surprising given how long it's been around.

Open pollination with selection. There's a huge difference between that and straight open pollination. He's a real breeder, one of the few around. And his F1's are as good or better than anything Sensi has in their catalogue, I guarantee it.

And this is what I'm talking about. Unless you had the original, bought from Holland, you are buying someone else's version. I did Peaks version , while it's worth every penny, it wasn't the same thing. A bit watered down but close, IMO.

The guy is a knockoff company he didn't even change the name of Blueberry you know its not the same a few others I can't remember just glanced yesterday.

It's still open pollination so it will not breed half as true if sensi lost theirs but still had seed from the parents selection which I doubt anyone other then Nevil had other then maybe the original breeders of the line which nobody knows they can select a mother and father almost identical. I do remember hearing NL5 died which was a clone only Shanti said he selected it back from the seed nl5 came from so basically the same way Ben would have done the original. I still don't know how Shanti knows what happened in sensi's work Ben never came out and said he lost parental stock G13 is said too be dead but is it? Ben never said it died too my knowledge sure Nevil probably kept a cut it probably died but how do you know Ben's died? Sweet Pink Grapefruit is still alive and thriving I saw a pic posted by Green Supreme at IC Chimera did confirm it was spg on the other hand Chimera lost his 25 year old Orange cut but may have been more like 30 years old when it died. I don't know for sure when Steve first got his hands on SPG or how old it was when he got it. But nobody knows not even Shantibaba knows what is in Sensi Seeds possession the way Shanti keeps his parents sounds like it would be hard too lose his cuts but how did Nevil keep them cuts for all those years did he keep them free of any stress? Did he give them any sunlight? For all we know he kept them root bound under a MH even floro's which just like us stress shaves years off your life that's why I toke. Lol

The best breeding technique, period, is to use open pollination with large selections of plants you desire. Most breeders do not do this due to space and time limitations (and the legality of it). It's the only way to avoid depression and nasty recessives though.
