Northern Lights in a 2x4 Tent w/ CXB3590s and BXEB Strips

The canopy has grown a few more inches today and the hangers are at their highest. With distance now around 14" I've lowered the wattage on the COBs down. Total system draw is now at 370 watts from the wall.

Flower Day 37

Used a macro lens and started checking my nugs and they are looking to be ripening up pretty well now. Perhaps this is genetics or maybe leds are helping finish faster.. I'm definitely seeing tons of cloudy and amber popping up here and there. I think I'll round out Week 5 with the Late Bloom feed from the sample kit and then start flushing on Week 6. Harvest maybe around week 7~8.

The small leaves on the nugs are def mostly amber on some spots. What do you guys think?

Northern lights is said to be an 8 wk finisher, but that hasnt been my experience. I took an NL 14 weeks once... lol but its usually about 10 under HID

I havent done NL under my 3590 cobs, but i would say 8 wks min. Looking at your plants though... i wonder if what you have is actually NL?

I think those ambers you see is just degration from having too much light for a while there. I notice amber trichomes when the light is too much.

Phenotypes, man.
Yep. And ive seen a lot of NL phenos. None like yours.

To be fair, the person who gave me these clones said they were NL but I had my suspicions by looking at the growth characteristics. It didn't follow anything I've read about NL. Perhaps a hybrid w/ NL.. not entirely sure. I'll ask again and see what she says.

To be fair back... the original NL goes back to the early 80s in southern BC. There's a number of variations of it. Ive been running NL #5 mostly... so i dont have experience with them all.

The other thing is... almost every indoor strain on the west coast is bound to have some NL genetics in it, as it was used to make/tame fussier strains more adaptable to indoor growing.

Looking good so far man! It's hard to tell from the pictures, but to me the calyx (bud) trichomes look like they arent quite there yet. To me they look about 50/50 clear and cloudy. Im only seeing amber on the sugar leaves, and those trichomes mature much quicker.

- 6x Cree CXB3590 3500k DB Bin running at 1.4A on 2x HLG-240H-1400A (3 per driver)
Hi, aquanaut! Nice NL!
You use 2 driver for 6 COB. What is the reason for this decision?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when using a current of 1400mA, the COB have @55% efficiency. 3х50 = 150W, why You use 240Н instead 185H e.g.?
Pls let me know (:
