I plan on keeping lights on 24 hour cycle for at least a week so the young plants can get as much energy as they possibly can then will be changing to 18-6.
Will post a pic update in 3 days as new leaves form!

Hey greenpeace - i disagree, iv allways had excelllent yield with NL considering the lighting i use, iv grown white widow, durban poison and ice before and never had yeilds as good as NL given its yielding indica and quality buzz sativa characteristics, id say NL is a great allrounder. But i appreciate your thoughts!

Yield has always been an issue with the Sensi N.L., since way back into the late 1980's. But I'm sure someone has developed an N.L. that yields well. I know Dinafem's Industrial Plant (N.L.) yields very well but takes 10+ weeks.....

ah i see. im growing nirvanas NL. All of nirvanas strains are excellent producers and easy to work with. Short flowering time also!

I have 15 of Nirvana's Bubblelicious in flowering right now and they are all doing quite nicely.....I've always avoided the "cheaper" seed breeders but a mod here convinced me this is a strain worth trying so I did. Their N.L. may be next for me too.

No problem. I've been looking for a good N.L. for a long time. Here's some pic's- the 1st two are the Bubblelicious (8 plants on one side of the room and 7 plants on the other)- each under a 600 watt HP. The 3rd pic is my large room, 24 plants under 2200 watts of Sweet Seeds Green Poison. I stopped doing journals since I was banned at THCFarmer but there a numerous grows and tons of pics over there. By the way, each group is in their 7th day of flowering.

Wow! thats nice.. coming along nicely! i wish i had the space and money to grow more than two and with better equipment, however its still good to grow by basic means and to show it can be done, more people will be enticed to grow, thus more weed in the world!

I dont have any pictures from my NL grows but i thought id share some pics of my very first grow - cheese, grown from a cutting under the same lights with the same soil, nutes etc.... and considering cheese is more sativa dominant i thought the CFLs did not too bad!

Cheese......yummy, but they smell to strong for me to consider. How was the buzz? I did a Sweet Cheese a ways back- here's a pic. The best tasting strain I HAVE EVER GROWN! There's a review over at www.medicalmarijuanastrains.com I did, along with a bunch of other under my handle.

im not too sure where this cheese came from it started stinkin during flower, if i remember correctly the buzz was balanced nicely, rushy and intense, i let the trichs sit bout 40/60% clear milky was pretty nice! i didnt manage to get pics of the finished product, yield wasnt bad just over 1.4oz!

X- keep posting a few pic's of your N.L. every so often, I'm very interested in how they turn out. I just bought Mr. Nice's "N.L. #1 X N.L. #5" (it's called Ortega) but found out they are unstable and peeps are complaining everywhere about the hermies. These are from original Nevil seeds back in the 1980's. Shantibabba is recommending only using the males in a breeding program so they are now useless to me.

I'll follow with some updates on the Bubblelicious, which are really doing nicely.

Yo SSHZ - hows it going heres an update for you guys. And iv never heard about Mr Nice.. does thier seeds have good rep? sound to me like it could be faulty genetics, mind you all it takes it a bump, or a feeding problem or a mess up with the light schedule to make the plant go hermie. As im very strict and attentive to all of these factors and more iv never produced a hermie as of yet, why dont u germ them jst to see how they get on? are the feminized?

And im looking forward to seeing progress of the bubbz allways wanted to smoke/grow some!

Peace!

Well, Mr. Nice seedbank is a partnership between Nevil and Shantibabba, both world reknown breeders from the 1980's-1990's and breeders of the original Northern Lights, Super Silver Haze and many others strains used in many breeding projects today by all breeders everywhere. These guys were the kings of breeding long ago and have steller reputations throughout the world. They used original 1980's seeds to make the Ortega, and boy was I excited when I found out I got the last pack from Attitude. These are killer genetics, to be sure. When I did more research, many growers were upset because the plants were showing hermies, some a little and some 100%. Shantibabba piped in and said, yes, there are issues but the genetics are in there and he's suggesting using only the male pollen in breeding projects. Here's more if you care to read about it and review the web site:

http://www.mrnice.nl/forum/ortega/
.....

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or space to play around with breeding right now but will continue my search for a quality N.L. strain elsewhere. I'm seriously bummed for sure..... If you read up in the forum, there are still people having great success growing these out by keeping them very small and flowering after a short 2 week veg period. I would have considered that but I need yield and know that won't be the case with these. It's a genetic issue, not a grower issue. Too many complaints are being registered for grower caused hermies.

Here's some updated pic's from today: 1st is the large room of Green Poison. Next two are each side of the small room w/ the Bubblelicious.... Oh yeah, day 13 flowering in both rooms.
