This is my first attempt at an outdoor grow operation. Im Going to buy femalized seeds. I live in the u.s.a. , in massechusetts. I need seeds that can handle a colder climate. Any Suggestions? Ive heard purple strains can handle colder climates. Anybody from the norther hemisphere that can help me out? And were should i purchase these seeds? I dont like dealing with males so femalized seeds are a must.

Im a Newbie! but a fellow pot head.
Any suggestions will be appreciated

There are several strains suited to your type of environment... a great strain called Early Skunk by sensi seeds, also Jamaican Pearl is another sensi seeds creation.

Check 'em out.

There are good strains that you can grow in your part of the world that will give you what you want.

You'll want to purchase them from somewhere that sells seeds.

You could start it indoors like January or Feb. and transplant it outdoors in the spring to get a headstart.

Veg for 5-6 months? He'll have some big ass plants to transplant! Heck, after I suggested he veg indoors for 2-3 months I got to thinking they would be kinda big by then:weed:, (note plant is bigger than smiley!)especially if he wants to do a bunch. Also, for seeds, check out HighGrade seeds Marijuana Seeds - Highest Quality Marijuana Seeds Online they're good people and the seeds are guaranteed to arrive plus they give you get extra (free) seeds with every order!

Thanks guys, I am planning on having the plants inside under a light for 2 months before putting them outside. Thx alot for your input Cap'n. That has to be the best way. Im growing 25 plants in plots of 5 so it looks like it grows wild. If any buddy has more suggestions on a good seed suited for my grow. I live next to a cop to.... right under his nose. Sketchy huh? hahaha.... I just want to see some fuckin buds next year. :) 5-6 months is definately to long inside. This year i grew seeds out of a bag of mid grade weed. I had 4, One turned out female. ( THE LONE SURVIVOR ) It is only 2 tall :( , But right when I put it outside it florished and it has some buds on it now but its very premature. A total yield of about 3 grams for me this year :)

IMHO I would just grow less plants from start to finish indoors if I had a cop next door to me! That way you could start as soon as you get your seeds and you won't have to buy as many. The seeds I recomended are not femenized, but they are high yielding strains. A smaller number of plants under controlled conditions often do better a larger amount of ones at the mercy of insects and various hungry critters and you ARE going through the trouble of setting up a grow area to start them indoors already. Well, good luck either way!

possible but by the time spring comes around you're going to be driving around with a huge ass plant, sounds risky to me!

If you get them started early inside and get them outside by the beginning of June you should be just fine with nearly any strain. This year is not a typical year for us, but it sure has been sweet. Looks like we are finally going to get a little cold weather coming our way.

i don't understand your reasoning...if you are starting the plants for next year very soon why wouldn't you just finish them inside in about 4 months...then start another grow inside a month before spring? it just doesn't make sense to veg a plant for 5+ months then put it outside only to veg for another 4-5 months...
