I lived in North Carolina (sobx) for half my life. I think I qualify!! My first grow was in Carolina. I got my supplies and clones from a guy i met on here.

I smoked a lot of great bud in NC. It likely came from Boone or Asheville. I haven't had any bud taste like that since i left. The cure and buds were perfect...

Just moved to the Piedmont from the west coast. Never seen soil like you guys have out here! So much clay. Got a location picked out for this years gorilla grow. Any tips on conditioning the soil as it is? Was thinking about doing a double dig to mix in some mulch and other amendments. Such a high amount of clay would require some silicate additives as well probably?

Man around here you dig holes and fill them with composted soil you amend yourself...I use the same mix as I would indoors...only thing grows in this red clay is Pine trees lol....there are some places though that has the richest black soil you've ever seen , all you need to do is add perlite to make it a little looser and water....rarely will you ever need nutes in such soil .
