Noobie here, i need help with some questions.

ok so i have a closet grow room 26' by 48' and 5 feet tall

and i have 10 seeds, assuming they wont all be female, what size buckets should i use and how dramatically will this affect the yield? and how much plants in a room of this size will be covered by my 400 watt HPS? please lmk, thanks

it depends on how big you want them I would guess about 2 or 3 feet tall since your room is 5 feet tall. I use no less than 3 gallon buckets ( I use 5 gallon) the more room for roots the bigger the plant and buds can get. a 400 watt HPS you can fit about 6 plants tightly together (5 gallon buckets) but unless you rotate your plants the ones further away will not do as well as the ones right under the light. For got to add don't start them in the 5 gallon buckets start small and transplant often until ready for the flowering stage, then 5 gallon buckets.

thank u Forrest, if i use 5 gallon bucket, how tall will they get. should i start budding early? they are white widow 60 % sativa if that helps. lmk

How tall they get is all up to you. if you start flowering your plant which is White Widow a Sativa dominant strain at 10 inches then you expect a 300 percent increase in size due to stretching which would be 30 inches so don't let them get to big before flowering. you could also top them but then you won't get one big cola you will get 2-4 medium to small colas. IMHO with your room size and light system I would do the 6 plants in 5 gallon buckets and start your flowering stage 12 hours dark 12 hours light at 10 inches and your plants should be just under 3 feet which is perfect for a 400 watt hps system as any more and you will get popcorn buds on the bottom and middle part of the plant.
