If it were mine I would run a 600w dimmable on a 4ft lightrail since there isn't much height, dim to 400w if too hot. Most growers will upgrade after a grow or two so the 600w will help you expand when needed.

Yeah man. With only 4 feet of vertical space... 400 is the biggest you should go.
Even then, keep em' small.

Light rail and dim feature is a good idea... IMO, 600 without a rail is not going to work out well for you... Even with a light rail, heat issues, most likely.

There was a guy on here awhile back running a 4x2x4 box with a 400w on a light mover and he was averaging 10 to 12oz for each complete run, which in my opinion is good for a 400w'er.

I have a 400w in my 2x2x6 and I learned that honestly its not the size of the tent or light... Its where you put it all at. For example my 2x2x6 400w cooltube has a 240cfm cooling the tube and I have a 440 cfm exhausting heat from the tent.
My temps have been 83-97, the problem is its in my closet. A closet (obvious now) does not push out the heat enough so eventually the closet gets hot and it cycles 90 degree hot air.

Honestly before you buy look into fans and try to figure it out. if its too hot, your a/c will be running all day and you will see a increase in your bills.
check out the 400w grows, check out 600w grows try to compare their setups and locations to yours.

Honestly I say you should get a 400w Cooltube. You save so much money with fans imo. and you can let the plants grow up to 2 inches away from the cooltube.
My cooltube is almost cool enough to touch and i have a 240cfm inline booster fan i bought for 15$

Edit: I forgot to add make sure you get a dimmable ballast, just in case. I run my ballast at 75% or even 50% at times. Helps control your heat and energy consumption.
