Noob indecision

Banana,mango and blackberry kush. I think I’m just about ready to flip ? Was planning on throwing either a trellis net over them or using tomato type round supports. I definitely need guidance if you can help steer me in the right direction. It’s a 5’x5’ tent and appears to me that it has far too many plants. I have one in there that I’ve done some LST to and another that was a week or so late to pop up. I plan on putting those in with my auto flowers for now. I’m using any HLG 550 eco and feeding with Fox farm trio. Calmag+ marginally as it didn’t appear they needed much. Any and all input on the direction I should go is appreciated ✌

That's a 5x5 tent with a single 110w quantum board?
Yea, IMO - you probably want to flip now with that much growth, go any longer and risk overcrowding.

You also need a lot more light for a 5x5
Minimum you need 25w led per sq ft, 50w/sq ft is pretty much optimal.

So minimum - 625w
Optimal - 1,250w


At least that's what the interwebz says

You did kind of wait too long to flip with that many plants, it's going to get THICK in there fast, which isn't really a good thing. But hey, we all get excited and grow too many plants at one time or another. I usually grow 4 plants in a 4x4 and it's packed, with a 5x5 you can do the same and just veg them a bit more or grow more plants and flip sooner. You'll get the hang of it. Just try to keep them healthy, don't try to push the nutrient PPMs too high, keep the leaves looking healthy and green and you'll end up with a nice first harvest. Make sure those plants have plenty of air circulation above AND below the canopy-the RH inside of a thick canopy can be sky high while the rest of the tent and the room it vents from is low. Watch out for powdery mildew. Personally, I'd get some Southern Ag Biological Fungicide and spray your plants down with it now, before you flip, and once again about two weeks into flower (before buds really form.) It's a great preventive measure, and it's cheap.

Thanks. I have a buddy with a little spare room for veg. I think I’ll cut it down to 6 plants. I have foliar spray at the ready by mammoth. I’ll give them a blast tnite and flip em

Thanks for the replies. I think I could manage 6 plants in there. I’ll pass the other two of to a friend. Do you think I’ll need any supplemental lights ? The HLG is 480w with a 32w UV supplement. Should I throw another small light in there. HLG claims the flower footprint is 5x4
