Noob First Time Grow

Hello. This will be my first attempt at an indoor grow. I would love all help and advice.

Stealth is no issue nor is space. I would like to grow a relatively easy strain for a first timer with a high yield.

I have no idea all the equipment/nutrients/soil i will need. I know it sounds crazy for a first grow but i would like to get about 8-12 plants going. But i know ican manage especially with all the knowledge on this site.

So there it is..

wow, so you know nothing? i suggest reading the stickies. you don't want to be coming here asking questions for every little thing. i suggest starting with a mostly indica strain. on my first grow, i used soil as my medium.

I apologise. Im not completely ignorant to the subject. Would jus like suggestions on lighting/soil things of that nature..Basically a list of supplys/equipment i would need to get the ball rolling

I read for 3 months before I opened my mouth here asking questions. When I did ask - the questions were as specific as I could pose them. Go do some reading in the grow room design and setup section. Search function is your best friend.

Damn I feel you. When I started I was astonished by the knowledge required. You never stop learning on this site. As to your question, go soil for first grow. Start with indica strain(s). CFL is an easy way of lighting, but still requires knowledge.

I would have to agree with the others..I have read for countless hours and it pays off. You need to know more about why you are doing what you do when you do it as apposed to just following a schedule. As for setup, that is going to depend you the size of your wallet. I am up to about 2k invested in my grow now, and I started off with a small closet setup with a 150 hps light with a flood table setup. Hydro is very labor intense and I am not sure if it pays off in the long run. I currently have one of my 12 plant tubs going in hydro and one 12 plant tub going in soil for a side by side comparison. Sunday I will be posting new pictures if you want to see how they measure up.

Stickies here on RIU, and http://growweedeasy.com/basics

If you have no space or budget restrictions, you'll be a month doing research before you even germ a seed. Just sayin' ;)

ps. I wouldn't start with 8-12. I'd start with 2-4. High-yield, easy to grow? White Widow (Black Widow in most circles) is high yield and potent, and Chemdawg is a consistent strain that won't stretch past height limitations that yields relatively large without much effort.

My $0.02.
