What's up everyone. I'm a noob not only to this site but to growing in general.
This past September I was smoking with a couple of my boys and I believe my buddy called the weed "Sour Kush". Who knows if that's even what it was. We all know how the chain of custody can be exaggerated lol.
Anyways it was definitely a very potent strain of bud, not something you'd expect to find seeds in, but he found 2. He was going to throw them out but I told him I'd take them. Brought them home and forgot about them until about three weeks ago.
I attempted to germ them in between paper towels and had no success. So I put them in some water to see if it would work. I read not to leave them in water for any longer than three days. And if they haven't sprouted by then they're probably no good. Well the third day came and nothing. So I figured what do I have to lose and just left them there.
About a week and a half later they actually sprouted. So I figured I might as well try to plant them. Grabbed some soil from the garage and potted them. It took 48 hours until they popped out of the soil. Which was this past Monday. When I went to water and check them this morning I noticed they smell dank already. And are already starting their second set of actual leaves.
They're about 2.75" tall and I'm using distilled water and a 75w CFL. Is a potent smell at this stage normal?
Thanks in advance!
