None of my 10 seeds germinated, why?

So, basically none of my 10 seeds became viable, all of them were from 3-4 different strains. I have no idea why none of them germinated. I always soak jiffy pellets and sow them, normally I had a 70% success rate, so no explanation why it didn't work this time.

Actually, 2 seeds popped out and had the little root, but then never grew, then for another 2 I used the papertowel method and popped out their little root then I transplanted them to the jiffy pellets, and nothing...

The seeds were perhaps not stored properly, I had had them for 6 months, and some were exposed to light, and they were shipped from Europe, took 1 month to arrive, and it is very hot and humid here in Mexico. Are these valid explanations?

I need to know before I buy again. 4 months ago I sowed 4 seeds that came from buds with seed that I bought here in Mexico, so I guess it is landrace marijuana grown guerrilla mode in the jungle, they all germinated and grew fast and powerful, 1 was a possible male so I cut it, another one was a hermie, and 2 were females and now they're flowering nicely.

Been doing this since before i even had a plant that made it to harvest years ago, never had a seed not pop. I use bag seeds all the time, sometimes old and not stored the best, but NEVER had a seed not pop (Germinated about 50-75 total in my life)

Papertowel soaked in hot water, squeez out most of the water so its not dripping but make sure its pretty wet and not hot when you put the seeds on it, fold the paper towel over the seeds and give a light press to ensure the seeds are covered fully and theres water in there.

Put it in a container with the lid closed, i've tried with the lid open and still had it work so i don't think it matters. Put in a dark cool place, then again i've done it in light too and it worked. they pop out anywhere from 2-5 days. Some will take longer i find, the ones that pop right away are the ones i like to grow, and so far have always give me good results :).

How long did you wait, I soak mine in water for 24hrs then put into jiffy pellets. Some pop in a few days, but I’ve seen up to 20 days before believe it or not

There are some seeds that have been in the jiffy pellets for 20 days, and the ones that I put on soaked napkins I left them there for 3 days, then checked and they had the little root so I planted them on jiffy pellets and nothing, and now I have the last 2 on the soaked napkins, I checked after 5 days and no root.

Not a fan of the pellets for sprouting. What I do is soak seeds for half an hour in H2O2, then plant {pointy end up} in good loose potting soil in Solo cups or trays. Cover with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of soil and water well. Then water everyday if outdoors. Most sprout after a couple three days.

Well, from what I read, my germination method wasn't bad at all. I had an average of 70% germination when I used it. So what could explain all 10 seeds not germinating? Is it because I didn't store them properly? That is, they had been stored for 6 months, some seeds for almost a year, and the recent ones, the ones that had been sitting for 4 months I kept them on their bag next to my desktop receiving natural light. Also, if the weather is too hot and humid does that affect germination?
