Noise: Distancing Fans

I've just finished my stealth grow box, it's going to be on a top shelf in my closet. Since I live with people who would definitely notice the noise of the exhaust/intake fans, I've come up with a plan on keeping them away from the box. Being in a flood prone area, I have a house that is about 2ft above the ground, giving me access to the underside of my floor. I'm thinking of modifying an inline fan to work with some 1" flexible tubing from Lowe's Home Improvement. I'm going to cut a hole in the floor behind a shelf in my closet to run the exhaust tube to a silenced fan with carbon filter under my house. The fan would draw the air from the grow box and expel the filtered air under my house, right next to my air conditioning unit, I believe it would mask any FLIR leakage that could occur.

This would make my grow box 100% silent.

I have made a small diagram to give you an idea of what this setup would look like.

In the diagram I have included an intake tube. I plan of keeping the tube indoors so the air intake will be a good 72-75 degrees Fahrenheit / 22-23.8 degrees Celsius.

What do you think of my idea?
