No wire with my RVK Fan?

Hi guys, bought my first inline fan today (RVK 125E2-A1) from my local shop. I kinda thought it would come wired up but I was mistaken, there wasn't even a wire in the box -.- I guess that's not right atleast?

Anyways, I look on system air website to check there wiring diagram and it shows blue, black & yellow/green wires IN the fan. I have two black wires, thats all :/

Just wondering if anyone else has bought or used this fan & knows if this is right & how to wire it.
Or should I take it back?

On Mine, where the black wires are wired to the plastic connector, on the other side of this it is marked on the fan which should be live and which neutral.

Ahh sound, now I just need to know what way round the connector is? Screw heads up? (Showing) saafe

Have you opened the small box on the edge where there is a rubber gromit for the wire to pass through?

In there should be a block connector that's got the wires from the motor etc connected to it.

I used an electrical extension cord wire on mine. Cut the 4 way block off and wired it up.

Inside the box with the connector in it my wires I think we're blue and brown.

Feed your wire through the gromit and attach it to the connector block.

Job done.

But basically if you wire it and it doesn't work, switch the wires.

Around the outside of the casing for the fan you'll see arrows pointing which way air should move etc.


Just make sure it corresponds when you switch it on lol.

Yh opened that up, two black wire connected to a white box.

Im using an old tv cable?

If I do it wrong am I likely to short the house electric?

The old tv cord. Is that a PC style cord. What's called a kettle lead or IEC lead?

If so that should be fine.
