no trichome production.

Hi guys I’m new to growing and got a few questions.
i have 3 plants growing indoors, 2 plants seem to be flowering quite nicely but my other plant seems to not be producing trichomes, they are all the same strain (bagseed) and I don’t know why it’s not producing trichomes it seems to be pretty Healthy, all are fed 1liter of tap water mixed with (PK 2mls per 1ltr) every 3-4 days.

*400w metal halide
*10 hours on 14 hours off cycle
*each plant is in a different sized pot. (Approximately 9L, 2 x 5L pots)

Metal halide is for veg not flower. Get an HPS in there.

Thanks man, I know my metal halide isn’t a flower light, I got a full spectrum led coming in very soon just waiting on that . Do you think my problem may be coming from my light?

What’s wrong with 12/12?
And each seed is an individual, with unique characteristics. Some will have less trics. Some be more leggy or less smell et.

What’s up with your buckets? Do you have drain holes? My pet peave is recycled five gallon buckets. Yuck…

also super check your leaves for mold and bugs. Seeing some concerning spotting.

okay I understand now it could just be the seed I’m not too concerned as it’s my first grow and excited, they smell like a sweet lemony tone with bits of skunky smells.

I’m just using random buckets I’ve found around my home, I’ve drilled holes all around the bottom off the bucket for plenty of drainage, I really need to buy some bigger ones to be honest.
and yeah about the spotting hahahaha it’s my fault as I was misting the room with water and I Didn’t clean my fan, and where I live is very dry and windy so I got dirt pushed on my fan and it blew dust all over my wet plants, I didn’t notice it until the water dried, but thanks for letting me know

And my 12 / 12 cycle I had to pull out my timers and reset them as it’s not a digital timer I must of clicked some of the tabs down without noticing and didn’t realise until weeks later, it didn’t seem to hurt the plants and all I’ve noticed it’s sped up the flowering process which is pretty cool as I’m not worried about yield because I’m not using the correct light etc
