no shoots but natural

a friend of mine has been growing outdoors his plant is about 2 ft. tall and has 8 nodes but at each node there is no shoot just a sun leaf. his plant has started to flower its a female the hairs on the cola are beautiful. but my question is what will happen as the plant flowers having no shoots just a cola? he has not pruned his plant ever it is the wierdest thing i have ever seen. any help appreciated. thanks

So it is just a main stem and leafs coming off of that?

If it doesn't grow side branches it will just put it's energy into that main cola, sounds good to me

thanks that is kind of what i thought. should i tell him to prune some of the lower leaves off so that the plant can put that much more energy into the cola?

Yep prune it and make a monster cola! Probably still get 1-2oz from it, shit maybe more, it all depends
