Same reason my smelly hippie friend(who I love like a brother btw) won't cut his hair. Odd. Once you get sick of people telling you and your clipboard to fuck off you'll cut it. Not trying to be a dick either. Your dreads don't define you bro you do. You can be who you are without em while being financially comfortable.

All I know about the subject is that...Now that I don't look like a stoner, I'm making more money and smoking more and better weed than I ever did when I was actively living and looking like a stoner. Adulthood has a funny way changing how we see the world. And how the world see's us.

I look like the type of person that would narc on you but most likely I'm stoned myself. The radio in my company truck is on an easy listening station but I've got Pantera in the cd player. When someone asks what I did last night I tell them that I didn't do much, played with the grand-daughter, spent a quite evening with the misses...but what I really did was get stoned as fuck and spent the entire evening playing call of duty.

I'd rather be comfortable and well fed, fuck my hair and earrings, they don't provide anything towards my quality of life. You don't have to look cool to be cool.

And why would I get sick of people telling me to fuck off? It's not like I'm asking them to marry me. It's a job.

And I'm leaving for a new country in 2 months anyways.
So everything you are saying (That has to do with American norms, and culture) will be worthless to me in 2 months.
Which is why I'm not cutting my hair.

I've made a lot more money woking at warehouses with a beard, and long hair.
Than I EVER did with shirt hair, a shaven face, and working at a franchise.

So that may work for you, but I'm fine with looking like me :D

My dreads don't define me, I don't even HAVE full dreads yet :lol: :lol: :lol:

And I can be financially stable with long hair, why do you think otherwise?

Working at a franchise? If I had a warehouse job I'd need two part times jobs to go along with that to make ends meet. I'm the GM at a mechanical contracting business. lots of employees and lots of responsibilities. When a CEO wants to spend money on a new building he doesn't want to do it with someone that looks like Lenny Kravitz.:lol:

Ok, well I'm 19.
I'm not about to apply for a GM job at a mechanical contracting company :dunce:

At a warehouse I can get paid $10 an hour, work 8 hour days<, and make over 1.5k a month and be good.
plus if I go to Mexico (Which I AM soon) finances will be a ratio of 1:7-1:10 compared to here :D

Personal experience man. Just trying to give a helpful opinion. Long hair isn't the same as dreads. Half dreads look even worse IMO. Again......not saying its fair but that's how people look at us from the counter culture.

But how people look at me, isn't going to judge how much I make.

Like if I had short hair and no beard...I would now be working at a gas station.
I'd rather be walking around meeting people in the city, making MORE money, than stuck behind a counter, alone at a gas station.


Plus I've got other plans.
Job is just to get a little extra money for now. I can make it by even without the job, it'll just help :D

I would love to not have to shave and grow my beard out. But I make WAY to much money. And I like money. Lol I'm a massive stoner, but you look at me and probably wouldn't think I am though. Except that who doesn't smoke weed in their mid 20s? But I dont want people making judgements or assumptions of what type of person I am based on how I look. And looking clean cut and nice translates to any country and will help people think you look more successfully and thus treat you with that respect. That being said if your in RURAL Mexico you wouldn't want to look like a pretty American boy, so not cutting hair probably = good idea.

I can live plenty comfortable without a job that pays like yours, and other dudes.
And I have plans, my grandchildrens, children won't even have to worry.

And I will be going ALL OVER MEXICO. Not just to the American tourist parts, and looking like a successful American in most parts of the world that aren't super Americanized, or not specifically an American tourist city, translates to getting mugged...Or worse.

Agrees. That why I said if youre in rural Mexico it's problly not wise to go all American tourist looking. And yes that goes with most countries. But in major metropolitain city's all around the world, a business man is a business man. They all look the same, trust me.
