I remember a greengenes video that made sense to me: the black ash is not about the nutes as much as about sugars/carbs: when your plant is still loaded with carbs the buds are full of suger which anyone who burnt sugar can confirm is nasty black shit. I think its more about starving your plants enough to get a fade, not pushing till the end than reaching some ppm level in the flush. Organics/no till seems to support this: even if you still have org nutes in your soil you can still get a nice product if you let it fade and go till its done.

Yup, natural senescence allows for everything to break down and be used within the plant.

Also in no-till/orgs the sugars are used to feed the soilbiome, the plant exudes sugars at the roots to get bacteria/mycelia to deliver nutes. This will also clear out cards from the plant. While in hydro theres no real reason to exude them and they just pack them in.

From his diagram, I gather he is saying it is best to harvest when there is no moon because that is when the sap is least concentrated in the flower. That or he is saying the opposite lol
