No cotyledons when seedling sprouted?

Afghan kush auto sprouted with no cotyledons. I put the seed directly in the soil and kept it moist. The others are all good. This one came up (last) after six days with just a shoot. There is a sliver of what appears to be a point of a first true leaf. I would assume this one is fuct?

If it's not gonna make it I'd just assume put one of my leftover Barneys Pineapple Express Autos in place of it and it can be two weeks behind. Any answers would be much appreciated.

In soviet russia cotyledons u! In all seriousness though that's an interesting situation. Maybe it's autotopping?

I accidentally did something like that, got too rough with a helmet head.
If you're willing to baby that plant along until she recovers, she might make it. That tiny true leaf she has might just save her. That's what happened with mine. It sat like that for days (can't really remember how many), then the true leaf started growing then it got a second set of one blade leaves and grew normally from there.
Good luck, you really want to watch the environment with this one, she's had a shock and more stress before she starts to grow will probably kill her, but don't give up until she's brown.

edit:I just noticed you said auto. She probably won't yield well even if she survives, but I would still try.

Just got home from work and looked at her. Top of the stem has turned a little green compared to the white that is was. Maybe she will make it, maybe not. We'll give it a whirl even if she ain't gonna yield much.

In case anyone was wondering she lived. She's a runt. I might only get a few grams, but it's better than nothing. I still have some from the last grow I did anyhow.

Well she was really small and then one day I woke up and she had shot up. I think my other plants had a little bit of a potassium(K) deficiency and from what I read can cause stretching which in this case was beneficial. Now hopefully those flowers fatten up. Either way not bad for a plant who sprouted without cotyledons.
