New Castle huh? never heard of it... Ever heard of Zigenbach? its texas made and started by a bunch of germans too. yea central tx has a big german and german ancestry population. i gotta find me some of this new castle...where you from?

I'm from Colorado...the state with the most microbreweries in the country... New Castle is actually made in England and is an import so i don't know how texas is on importing beers but i can find New Castle pretty much at every liquor store here. Im not sure if ive had the zigenbach i know i have had one of shiners other beers but im not sure of the name.

yea i asked my cousin and he said they have new castle here. Zigenbach is awesome it taste good and is just like shiner except cheaper.... Mayber Shiner Blonde? thats a good beer.

Oh yeah i was gonna ask if anyone has gotten the new Hightimes master growers 2009 catalog yet...cause i did and shit man there is some shit...there's an article on a new growbox called earthbox...this thing is gonna be the future in soil growing...it takes the guesswork out of watering soil by adding a resovoir like a hydro system. Has anyone used these yet cause im about ready to go nuts and buy a shit ton of these!!!!!

Good post, MG will make your plants look good and grow fast but overall they will not be as robust and strong as a plant grown with good organic nutrients I have worked on an organic farm for a few years now and have had a few disscusions with some of the more experienced organic farmers about MG.

Thank you...what im getting as MG's argument is that it works and sometimes they say that it works great and the pictures they have shown the plants do look like a heavy harvest...but who knows what it could have been like if it were grown in something else...and thats what im trying to do here is show OR be shown what a plant could look like in these different situations...right now its not exact because they are not clones but in a few weeks we shall change that

I only use MG soil... Advanced nutrients in say week 3 or 4 ....very low ppm.. start say 400-600

yea man i pick up every new high times and that new one is definitely awesome! did you get that beginners guide a few months back? i'm not a newb but it had some helpful tips and stuff.

ive never bought a hightimes in my life........ looked through a few like 15 years ago but i see no need for it and its silly ideas........ and yea they got a lot of silly shit in em...

you're right.. you can't argue with results...

thats what i was pointing out... the ones who grow good yields with MG successfully has the RESULTS to show you it can be done... i understand about how much work and research was put into making good soil... but if the grower himself didn't do his own research and took the time to learn how to grow sufficiently and efficiently then the outcome is not a real result... it really slants peoples observations... and what YOU are doing is arguing with results... because there are MG growers who can show pics of better yields than some FF growers... and that not a lie.. because its all about the grower also... not saying FF isn't better soil than MG... i'm just saying if you suck as a fucking grower, it doesn't matter if your daddy made the goddamn soil himself.. you still suck as a grower... FF or not...

I wouldn't say Miracle Grow is impossible to grow with, my cousin used to do guerrilla grows with bag seed out in the woods, and all he used was the Miracle Grow blue powder that most people grow tomatoes with, his herb harvest in the fall time was always a half-ass high and a metal after taste like you had been sucking on a spoon. All he cared about was weight, he didn't care at all about quality, this was back in early to mid-90s, he was a cheap bastard too, ain't know way he would've payed for seed or electricity or any of the other stuff that growing indoors requires. Me and him are like night and day, I'd rather have a small amount of QUALITY than a large amount of mid-grade.

My opinion would be to stay away from MG products, though I'm not going to put down anyone that uses it, I know that I had bad experiences with it and I hate it, I really wouldn't recommend any fertilizer or bagged soil that comes out of a place like Lowes, Home Depot , Wal-Mart , Ace Hardware, ect. I like FoxFarms ferts and their soils are good too, but Earth Juice is good, Pure Blend Botanicare is good too. I just tend to stick with products that I've had good results with, I need a decent camera so I can post pics.

That is the point of need helps thread. Everybody starts somewhere.
