So, I went ahead and cut the bitch down tonight. I'm really happy with the yield, well what it looks like she'll yield, but I definitely fucked up some other stuff with this grow. But, hey, learning experience, right? I kept lowering and lowering the HPS, this is my first time every using HPS and it's only 150 watt, so I went by the whole, if it doesn't burn my hand, it's not too close method. Well.....that turned out to be bullshit in my case. Maybe it's because my RH was too low. But, I always heard that RH in the 30's isn't bad for flowering. I'm sure also my lack of nutes didn't help either. But anyways, I digress. I ended up with a shit load of bud, a few really big ones, but also, some really fucked up shaped buds.
This made it hard as hell to trim, plus, another thing I'm really not liking is how damn leafy she is. Also, I cut away a ton of bud that was just crispy and brown. But, it's my second grow, so not too upset. My last grow, I sold off the excess, people were paying 20 bucks a gram, this shit is so ugly, I probably won't get 10 a gram, but my goal for growing is to keep my gal pal in enough smoke that we don't have to buy and that is accomplished. Although she loved how "pretty" the last harvest was, she will literally pull out the jars and just look at them, she will still be excited that we have home grown shit to smoke, that smokes better than anything we can buy.
