(not sure if i should do this but i did because when in doubt CAL MAG!!!!!!! lol) 5ml of cal mag

now reading :

PH of 6.19
PPM 788
TEMP 69.6 (never looked at this before i keep it in the basement with everything. ill warm this up to at least 75 before i water them today but is this temp an issue?)
US/CM (whatever the f this is and it's a n odd shaped U that looks like a 4) 1576

added MadFarmer GetUp to get PH up to 6.49

Watered 1 full gallon with barely any runoff.

Put in 1 bottle of purified water at 6.5ph afterwards to get a little more runoff. i got maybe a little more runoff. wasn't sure on straight water here because it may wash the feed out??? Total runoff estimation is about 1/5 to 1/6 a gallon.

Runoff -

PH - 6.25
PPM - 2120
4S/CM THINGY - 4240

Yo homie, sorry for the late reply! Been a busy ass week. Did she respond well? Some extra nutes from the earwig, lol, awesome. Sounds like you made a decent nutrient mix. The only other thing you could do is be adding some extras like humic/fulvic acids and some carbs like trinity or Humboldt honey or something similar. Make sure you switch to just plain water on week 8. You want your water temp at 68-69 degrees because it holds more oxygen when it’s colder. The funny U4 symbol stands for microsiemens, and sounds like your ppm is in Hanna scale. So you fed with an EC of 1.5 or so which was right on. Prob a good call on the calmag too. Normally I wouldn’t go 5ml, but not a bad idea when your pulling a plant out of a deficiency. When your plant is deficient you want to give a sold nutrient feed with a lot of runoff, don’t do the plain water thing, just mix up another gallon.

Let's talk nutes. Everyone says "fox fam is good BUT" which makes me feel like it's the subway of the nutes, yeah it's not mcdonalds but.. lol. I got FF because that was the soil i was using but i don't think im ready to change my soil just yet because im still learing the FF but i could change the nutes. Maybe i just do it now and start learning a new soil? idk.... I also feel FF is a beinners soil?? which is exactly what i should be using. What do you think i should use for nutes?

Also, something on my mind lately too that i can't make up my mind on is a UVA bar. Been eyeing this one because it snaps right onto my light https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/lamps/products/hlg-30-uva-xl-supplement but it seems 50/50 on the opinions. They had a 25% off for croptober and i assume black friday will be the same or better and i'll just get it then...if i do.. it's pretty cheap.

For soil I personally like roots organic original, it has always outperformed side by side trials with ocean forest for me and others I’ve seen, but the difference is small. I notice a better and more full bud structure in roots. For food I’d start with adding a few dry amendments like 1tbls fish meal, 1tbls fish bone meal, 1/3 cup of Jamaican bat guano and Mykos, 2tbls oyster shell and 1tbls dolmoitic lime per bag. For liquid nutrients Id use botanicare. Start with calmag at 1ml/gal in R/O water with 1ml big bloom and full power and dash of great white. Use the pure blend grow and pure blend soil bloom bottles. Grab the liquid karma, rhizoblast and vitamino too. You’ll need a carb like trinity to help feed microbes too. What light do you have now? UVA bar may not be necessary but could have an effect. I’ve seen amazing things with a lot of these LED lights not needing to supplement anything though, which surprised me for sure as an HPS grower for most of my career.

I have an hlg blackbrid. I'll try this out my next go which will be here soon. Just waiting on one plant to finish up so I can move everything :)
