Hi guys.
after browsing heaps of grow forums I decided to join this awesome community.
This is my first grow after about a 12 year break.
i decided to start with NL as an easy strain to make sure I could still grow. And this is my first ever grow from seed.
i wanted to make this thread to learn, get feedback and use it for my own future reference.
Please feel free to ask any questions, give any advice, give criticism or just to say hi. And also correct me if my terminology is incorrect as I'm old school and a lot has changed.
I'm using a 4x4 grow tent.
1x can fan for extraction with a carbon filter.
1x pc fan for intake.
1x standard fan for circulation.
400w lumatek digital ballast.
400w hps lamp.
medium Adjust a wing reflector with a super spreader.
im using a tub on tub DWC system.
with growstones as my medium.
dual air pump with two long airstones.
another pump with a top water feed that circulates back into bottom nutrient tub to add extra water movement.
and a large fish tank heater to keep water temp correct.
I'm using Dutch master advanced with DM silica, zone and liquid light. I will also use monster bud late in flowering.
For my next grow I plan on adding a second system. And I will be growing OG Raskal white urkle and fire alien romulan.
i germinated using the cup of water technique. And started in a rock wool cube.
I vegged for four weeks counting from first true set of leaves.
I employed LST to create a larger and even canopy.
she is now at day 15 of flower. But I have pics from through out the in tire grow if any one wants a comparison.
problems I've had
my main issue has been high temps, I started in the peak of summer and battled with both air temp and water temps.
I also had a problem when my in-laws paid a visit, I had to wait four days without maintenance, my water level dropped too low and a nutrient salt built up and damaged my root system. I thought I was going to loose her so I took cuttings but she came good again and my cutting died as I wasn't properly prepped to look after them.
cheers guys ill add info as I go
