So i recently bought the Olympus up and hades down, from nectar of the gods to control the PH in my water. I was gonna use cal mag from botanicare to add to my water regiment but i noticed the olympus up was derived from cal. Would it be to much calcium or do i cancel out the cal mag? Or use both?

how much would be needed per gallon?
Personally my tap water is very base when I test pH it is very blue at around an 8. I add about 5ml per gal to bring it down into the 6’s. Now when adding nutrients it is a bit of an experiment. The GH trio runs pretty neutral from my experience, and since my starting water pH is really high I’m always adding lemon juice to bring it down. When I’m in flower, I use a lot of molasses which is acidic along with some other nutrients and my pH goes down to the 4’s, I use about 2.5ml of baking soda to bring it back up to the 6’s.

so start by figuring out your pH alone with no nutrients, then add Lemon to bring down or soda to bring up as a base line. Only has to happen one time not every time you feed since it will always be the same coming out of the tap.

then add your nutrients and check pH again and balance it one way or another. Going forward you will only have to pH when you add nutrients, since you already. Shoot for high 5’s or low 6’s

It really depends on how you're growing and what kind of substrate you're using. Demeters is a better option for Cal but Olympus up is a great option for pH up. This is what I use when I grow in amended soil or super soil.

Did you ask the growers in the NFTGs thread? Those guys know these products inside and out and are very helpful.

Does this effect tastes? Thinking about trying thanks
nope and it’s super cheap I buy bottled lemon juice from Costco 64oz for $10 and $3 baking soda box. mix nutes then pH it Up or down. I notice my flower nutrients run more acidic so I add baking soda, and my veg nutes are very base so I add lemon juice. (Start light, like half a tea spoon and check/adjust)
I believe in flushing too, that to me makes a difference in smoke and taste. some may differ on flushing before harvest.
