It's also very good to soak seeds in before germination.
Indeed. I do the ol paper towel pop. Make up a solution of zues, some roots extreme serene and a drop of super thrive. Pretty dilute. Arrange them on the towel, fold over and mist. As of right now i have a germ and survival rate of 100%. Dont imagine i can keep that up for too much longer but ill take it!

Very normal. Use SLF-100 to break down the bonemeal build up. It makes it into usable calcium. In veg and transition top with earthworm castings and that will really break it down.
Ok cool I figured so. I have used Slf for a while now and have been using it as well for my nectar trial.

I'm going to be trying out the sample kit. As a new grower, what's the best way to start? Looking for sort of a 2 or 3 part process, veg, bloom or veg, bloom, boost.

That doesn't work with nectar. They are all complimentary. There is no "veg" or "bloom" bottle.

So you're saying you can't pick and choose? I have to use the whole line? I know people love this stuff, which I why I wanted to try it, but if it's going to cost me over 100 bucks when I need more I'm not sire I want to.

It is a little misleading. You can use their stuff as complimentary additives but there really isnt a veg/bloom so to speak. The base regimine is medusa, gaia, zues and herc. The rest is all a matter of what you are looking for. Imo, the only other crucial bottles are athenas and demeters. Athenas is amino acids which promote calcium uptake and demeters is going to be your magnesium. It has no mag in it but its unbonded calcium, the calcium will bond with coco or peat in your medium, get eaten by bacteria releasing the magnesium in them. If you understand what each bottle does you can substitute with other things. As a whole, its alot at first but you will see that most of the stuff goes a long way. Except for herc. You will use a shit ton of herc. Luckily, it is the cheapest of the line. Also, the PH up is amazing. Just my opinion.

Thank you for the clarification. I like the line I'm currently using, but since it's owned by Scott's i want a change, figured since everyone raves about this stuff, and I can get a free kit it should be worth trying. Going to finish out this run on just GO, then use clones of this plant to test GO vs NTFG vs Ionic.

There are some great youtube vids with the owner that break each product down. I am by no means an expert and there are alot of their products i havnt used. What sold me on them was the nature of the company. Harley smith with NPK industries has several really good seminars on youtube. When i compared what he was teaching to nftg products it was a no brainer. The only way i would grow with anything else would be totally organic with no bottled nutes. I cant say how it will effect your yield but i bet quality will beon another level. IMG_0300.JPGIMG_0306.JPG Soooo dense and sticky! Top Dawg super star dawg 2.0 NFTG, Mammoth P, SLF-100 in Promix HP. :hump:

Nice looking buds, man. Yeah, I bought GO as it was recommended by the guy running my local hydro shop. Said I was on a budget and new. He said it's what he uses. He uses Biothrive, biobloom, and that's all. Older guy, been doing it forever. I added their Ca/Mg and my plant is ok right now. I'll get a bottle of bloom to finish this girl, but again, really want to try something not owned by Scott's MG. I've heard about how they changed Maxi and I'm suspicious of them re-packaging MG and selling it at a premium. Not a company I want to do business with.

When you get a look/smell of some of the nectar bottles you will know, without a doubt, that there is no rebottling going on.

Just wanna give these guys +Rep. I requested a sample pack. Paid the shipping and got the order on time. When I received the order, 3 bottles were missing from the box. I contacted my customer service rep. In about an hour he contacted me offering me free replacement of free Nutrients, after I said I would go out and purchase what was missing. This is fabulous customer service, and if their bottles work half as well as they claim they'll have a customer for life.

From everything I've read NFTG seems to be much better suited to soil/coco grows then a pure hydro system. Is this true? Is anyone trying it with other inert grow mediums?

It is very difficult to use it for hydro. Certain product are ok but most are to sedimenty. You would need a VERY strong current to keep it from settling. Tried mixing a big batch ahead of time and keep it circulating and it wore out the impellar of the pump in a couple days. Any drip system is a no go. Flood and drain or dwc maybe? You would need to supplement magnesium if not using coco or peat. All the mag in this line comes from your medium which brings up another setback in that there are alot of functions that happen in the soil that may not in just water. With some thought you could get it to work but probably not to its potential

Thanks for the feedback. I like the lineup but soil grows and coco grows are really difficult for us. The quality of both is so poor here that as soon as you open up the sealed bags and leave them for a couple of days you get a ton of insects which you just can't bring into your garden. Importing either is just too costly

This stuff here is the real deal. I've been using it for 1 week and am blown away. I'll post a pic in the AM when I get home of just how much healthier my plants are now.
