All right so I'm only going to ask this question once because it's an irritating question. It's been irritating me since I started because I get conflicting information from the ocgfam show, the Bible, from the blogs, so I'm going to ask you because I'll get the answer I'm looking for. WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY FOR ME TO DO A SLURRY TEST???
I have to make sure I'm doing them right. I've been following you for a while now and I know you're on it with your slurries, that extra work is probably why your plants look flawless. Anyways. I use my tap water, I aerate over night to get rid of chlorine. The ppms come out a little high so I add a small amount of distilled until my waters ppms are in range then I add nutrients then I ph up or down. Tea day I ph before adding microbes. So when I do a slurry test what's the process. I've heard some say they use distilled. I thought I'm supposed to use the same water I water with so it would be my tap water. So If I was doing a slurry I would use the same water, aerated tap water with a little distilled at 140 ppms right? Now do I ph the water and if so what ph? Would I ph it to around what my feeds are? Next do I subtract the ppms of the tap water from my slurry results or no? Last thing, when you add the one part water 1 part soil how long do you let it sit before you put your pH and TDS meters in and do you stir? Thanks a lot and sorry for all the questions that I'm sure you've answered a million times, this is a constantly asked question but I'm asking you because I want to get a good answer that's current information so I know that my slurry test are correct. I'm pretty sure the keys this line is slurry tests, thanks again I appreciate it!!!
