NFT check please

This is a "pocket sized" nft capable of growing two plants at one time built from stuff I have around my house (a lil extra from home depot) So, is there anything that looks like it could cause problems in the future here (aside from transparency ill fix that when I start growing things)?

What is that material in the bottom of the channels? Is it fabric? I have never heard of anyone lining NFT channels with fabric. I would be interested to see how it turns out. I suspect that it might promote root rot.

You will definitely need to deal with the transparency in a major way like you said. I would suggest several layers of flat paint on the exterior.

It may promot root rot and mold, but I don't know. we'll see once I get everything I need to plant the plants (net pots + oasis cubes). What I'm trying to achieve with the towel was to spread an even layer of liquid over the entire channel, because before the water would just form a stream right in the middle instead of spreading over the width of the channel.
