I just took twenty or so cutting tonight, and have some under a 1000w mh, with a cool deluxe bulb, and some under floro tubes. And since you are talking on sort of the same subject, how long do i generally have to wait to go to flower in soil after this? I am planning on clipping off all but the one cola on each plant, essentially a soil sea of green if there is such a thing. Any advice you can give me bro?

mine have been vegging in beer cups for a week or two. i'm putting them in 1 gallon pots then flower. tonight hopefully. i'm doing 40 in a 3 x 6. so i guess you call this a soil sea of green.

Very nice as usual, I was wondering if you could show or tell how your lights are being cooled. It looks like your lights and filter are being blown through or sucked through the same ducting, where is that ducting going or coming from?? Are you cooling your lights with outside air (air from outside the room)? Thanks for your time..

the ducting goes from the hoods of the light to the T to the exhaust fan. the fan is sucking hot air off the lights, sending it thru the duct and out the exhaust.

this is the new intake i built today. i used 4" black PVC. i stretched a piece of black pantyhose over the hole then capped it. my fresh air is drawn in thru this vent by the suction of the exhaust fan. View attachment 116885 View attachment 116886

i used the box from my exhaust fan and flipped it over to cover my exhaust hole. i then secured and sealed it. then i cut a hole in it with a door. i covered the hole with black pantyhose to prevent light leaks. IMG_6875.jpg

Nice, so your exhausting the room through the lights and getting a intake from the same fan, a three in one deal? Whats the temp in the room your intake is coming from as well as the grow room?

i have a light meter. it reads foot candles. before i painted i was at 3500 fc at about 12 inches. my lights right now are about 24" off the floor. when i set the meter on the floor it is reading 5000+. i can't beleive that just by painting i've increase my light level that much. it's bouncing off of everything. i can't look into my room now, it's blinding. :blsmoke:

i just checked my lights again. i'm at 5000+fc at about 4 inches away from the hood. i can drop it 18" and it's still over 5000fc. i've never had it so bright in there. it used to by just under 5000 at the hood and 3500fc at the corners of the canopy. i'm amazed the difference.

Reflection is way better than absorption :)
It'll be interesting to see if you get way better results since the reflection will most likely add some under/side lighting

Haha..

temps last night hit 84. humidity was at 30. we are having a heatwave at the moment so i think these temps in the next few days will be the perfect test. it's supposed to hit 105 today. i run my lights at night so they are cooler.
