I thought he was off the ballot in two states. What is the point of paying him any attention aside from explicating his arguments against his opponents?

Well apparently some people are still going to vote for him, Tomorrow in SC in particular, doesn't make any sense. That is before this drama unfolded and Rick Perry Dropped out. As guys we think this isn't a huge deal but you know I think women aren't going to like this.

4 candidates missed one primary registration. Being off the ballot does not mean that you cannot get write in votes. Also, to win a candidate needs 270 votes I believe and that can be done with less than all the states voting for them.

Actually it does because as far as Virginia write in's are not allowed.

Both Newt and Santorum are not on the ballot in multiple states and in one of those states write ins are not allowed.

ok...you wrote "to win a candidate needs 270 votes I believe and that can be done with less than all the states voting for them"

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the GOP race..

Maybe my numbers are wrong but I believe the GOP primary race is similar to the general election.

It doesnt really matter as I am an independent and do not get to vote in the Republican primary in my state I believe.

hmm you probably can, a lot of states say they are closed but they are really not, they just ask you verbally. Do you have to select party when you register to vote? If not then its not actually closed. This is the case with Michigan, they say its closed but there is not even an option to register as a republican or something.

On Wednesday, U.S. President Barack Obama issued a statement which said that TransCanada's application for the 2,740-km pipeline was denied because the State Department did not have enough time to complete the review process.

At a press conference following the announcement, Republican leadership hopeful Newt Gingrich said Obama was pushing Canada into the "hands of China."

"If I would have said to you three or four years ago that it was inconceivable that an American president would drive Canada into a partnership with China. But that's what's going to happen," Gingrich said.

So China is Sancho, Canada is a fat girlfriend and it is all Obama's fault.

Sounds to me like his first wife turned gay and blamed it on him and that is why he thinks this way. Does he think that Obama offered Canada's oil to China?Does he think that America is entitled to this oil and that Obama gave away something that we already own? I think he just wants America to buy oil forever.

Wow, it's hard to fathom this level of naivete. Even if, and it's a huge IF, the US is fortunate to have some breakthroughs in green energy, we will need oil for the next 15-20yrs to put it in place... that's if the breakthrough happened TODAY. Keeping that in mind and knowing the hesitance to use our own natural resources, it's pretty fucking stupid to turn down a inexpensive source of oil, especially when it's coming from one of the few countries not populated with people who want to kill us.

To be fair, how many of your ex GF's or wives think you are fit to be president? (general question...)

I can live with out oil. Maybe there shouldn't be so many American Ass holes driving Hummers and lifted trucks and invading countries in convoys of thousands of military vehicles. I digress, it is one's right to choose to be wasteful in our society and our culture is unwilling to think about giving up the oil addiction. IF we don't have a plan in place for the day we can't continue going on chugging oil at a staggering rate while every other country in the world also chugs oil at an increasingly staggering rate, I'm sure we'll all look back and be glad we did everything we could to avoid running out of a FINITE resource while also destroying our environment and not having any plan in place to deal with either of these HUGE problems. In fact either of these problems has the potential to induce a population bottleneck. Did you go to Law School at Costco or something? That is why everyone hates America and American Liberals are "apologetic".

I think you are Naive if if you think you can afford to burn fossil fuel forever despite anything any president can do to control the market. In fact I think it is a damn smart move on the Canadians' part to get China hooked on it's product. Some of us don't want our economy to be controlled at the whims of the owners of the world's oil. Some of us also are pretty worried about environmental impacts too.

Diesel designed his engine to run on peanut oil. J.P. Morgan offered him a deal to mass produce his engine if he modified it to run on fossil fuel which he and his cronies controlled. They like controlling resources and means of production while you think you are wealthy because of what ever currency you have acquired.

I am naive because I think that all of society has the potential to wake up and smell the coffee. Can you fathom it now?
