NewNugz First Grow--- Crown Royale & Morpheus

Hey Everybody! just wanted to post this grow online in order to get helpful advice and hopefully avoid common first grow mistakes.

The seeds are crop king and I got 2 morphs 2 crown R. Im currently vegging the seedlings on 24 hr 125 cfl 6400k (sunblaster).

Ive got a couple questions right off the bat.....

My seedlings are growing at different rates despite being seeds from what i assume is the same plant, I assume this is just normal genetic variation?
The smaller crown royale has a weird leaf morphology in which the first set of true leaves is some how fused/stuck to the cotyledon, should this be a concern?
My final question is there is some pistil looking structure coming from the bottom node, I know my big morph only sprouted like 8-9 days ago but could this strain have preflower structures very early or is it just new growth im looking at?
Oh and I have a 3x3x6.5 tent on the way from amazon im gonna flower in and im ordering a 1000 hps (dimmable) for flowering (ipower).

1000w is overkill for a 3x3 tent but if it's dimmable you can run it at 50-75% to help keep temps down.

Yeah I was gonna play around with the dim settings see what heat they all make. Heres the thing tho, I grow in a insulated back room of my unheated garage. I run a 1500w space heater with a thermostat that kicks on frequently to maintain the heat in that room. I live in an area with frigid winters, could i not run it at 1000 venting out the tent just into my grow room and it would just mean that my heater would kick on less? As long as i replace the hot air in the tent with cool air from the room constantly i should be able to maintain temperatures with just a 240 CFM duct fan? in the summer yeah for sure i could see not being able to run 1000 without some more consideration in to cooling. My thinking is there is no way a 1000 watt bulb can compete with northern winters! Is my thinking wrong here?

Maybe? Most people run a 400 or 600 for a space that size though.

You also have to keep more distance between a 1000 and the canopy, that 6.5' can go quick when you consider the vertical space needed for lighting, distance from the light, and the pots or buckets or whatever you'll have underneath.

If you're in an unheated garage, you probably want them up off the floor a bit too.

Thanks man thats something to think about. I guess ill only know if it can work if i try it. I think I should be okay with height cuz im doing scrog so im just thinking temp is gonna be my problem. This is all theorycraft at this point i really gotta try it and see how much heat its making. Oh and yeah for sure my pots arent on direct concrete floor that shit is cooooollllld!!!!

You would think, but I run out of room fast in a 3x3x6.5, and that's under a 400w.

How much you pulling off 3x3x6.5 with 400? ur bud looks fucking mental by the way!!!! Im trying to get it so i can smoke arund 2 to 3g a day and never run out. I plan on cloning my girls before switching to flower and repeating that process over and over so after the first time here itll go down to two months for harvest. im thinking if i can harvest perpetual every two months then i need around at least 180g yield.

Well, I'm just switching to a 3x3 tent with these, my last grow was in a 2x4 closet (which is pretty similar size-wise.) I wanted the tent just to have more control over the airflow/quality.

I did the similar # and size of plants with the same light before and always got ~150/180, right in there. Enough to keep me and the old lady medicated. Here's my grow journal from my previous one, I got over 150g from these two, and I had to chop the bigger plant at 6.5 weeks so I lost some weight: https://www.rollitup.org/t/400w-bubbleberry-grape-ape-grow.878610 I'm not running the side lights in the tent, but I have a daylight LED bulb in the tent also, just to add a tiny bit of blue spectrum light.

I'm not trying to necessarily max out yield though - I'm doing soil and going for flavor and effects over grams per watt.

I think you can do it with a 400, but if you want to go bigger, I'd recommend a 600 over the 1000 for that size. Genetics are the most important factor to have good right off the bat, because you can't really upgrade those mid-grow.

Yeah im def gonna probably not get to use it on 1000w in that 3x3 but if u pulled tht bud off 400 only then ill be okay!! assuming i dont screw it up somehow, but im doing a ton of research starting with quality lights and i always ask before i do something..hopefully my first grow resembles people before the internets 10th grow

When you're looking at reflectors, you may want to get a cool tube - they take up a lot less height than most other types of vented reflectors
