This was from my thread forgive me:

Edit: 9cfls 26w 6 above 2 on side. 3x3x3 room. Ph 7 (not sure after nutes, dont have hydro store around for ph adjust unless u can get it at local places)
9 1/2'' clone already rooted and what not of course. Just used Vigoro 10-10-10 all purpose

I mixed some nutes in a gallon and filled my container with it and sprayed on top of the soil real nice and moist with it and forgot the lights were going off.

I didnt think about watering it until someone on another thread who was helping me out (thank u mammath) mentioned watering it also and not leaving it on top of the soil. So couple hours later I gave it a good watering and wonder if im in some trouble or not. I went ahead and used plain water. I may have overwatered not sure...:cry:

I went ahead and turned on the lights..

Now im not for sure if I was suppose to use the gallon bucket of water w/nutes added or just the sprayer + regular water. Any help is appreciated.
can any1 help?

I like to help the noobies out, but I get too lazy to look for unanswered posts. If you have a question pertinent to growing marijuana, ask away and I'll do my best to answer it for you!

If someone knows the answer to a question and sees it before me, feel free to jump in and answer it!
from what stage of growth do you start counting week's old ? If you start from seed .

i would say the vegetative phase...seedlings are usually plants about 1-2 weeks from germination...depending on what light you use,and if they are in optimal condtions...

Vegging starts when the plant has a second set of leafs, usually the 3 fingered oines

Hey Senor thanks for all of this good info. I didnt look through all of the pages though so you may have answered this. Anyways, i just put my germinated seeds in the soil and I am wondering how often should i spray the soil? I live in a pretty dry climate so it tends to dry out fairly fast. Is it possible to do it too much if it's only a few squirts of water to moisten the surface? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

no certainly...YOU NEVER WANT THE SEEDLINGS ROOTS TO DRY!!!

you can spray every day if you notice the top of the medium drying out..just rember that the roots also dont like WET soil..just nice and damp...

what i do is get a ziplok bagn use a rubberband to tie the,m over your pot/cup..and thayt makes a hoemmade humidty dome.....seedlings r very sensitive bastrds!!!!

How do I LST my plants. I'm only in my second week of flowering and I only have about 2" higher I can go before I hit the ceiling with the light. What should they look like after they are pulled over and how far do I pull them over. A pic would be great.

Hey Senor it's me again. I notice you haven't been and replied since 2-22-09 so hopefully you'll return soon and help me out here.

In regards to cloning in a dome, should those vents be open at the top of it or not? It is presently 82 degrees and 83 % RH with them closed, and opened once to twice a day to spray leaves with water.

Second question is should some sort of nutes be used with the watering or not, and if so what would you suggest ?

2st thingz first...STOP SPRAYING YOUR CLONES WITH WATER....they will root slower due to them already getting moisture from the leaves,so they dont feel the need to grow roots to survive...leave the holes open..so no rot e,t can happen...and ember you have to be able to dry them, without killing them to get faster rooting time...

New grower here I am gowing in a closet , gotta be closed becasue 1 time previous i left a plant on the counter for a few min and one of my cats ate the whole thing. Area is kinga small about 6 feet by 6 feet by 2.5 feet, I bought 4 85 watt dual spectrum 2 cfl, got 2 for vegging 2 for flowering but im sure ill buy at least 2 more flowering bulbs when i get to that stage, for now i was planning to use 2 of the veg bulbs and 1 flowering so it gets both types of light. I would like to grow 3 or 4 plants in that area if you think I have enough space ? got seeds that are supposed to get 80-90cm

I bought fem seeds and will be growing in soil what should i start off the light cycle as ? friend of mine is telling me 14on 10 off till their sex is determined then 24 probably, but since their fem seeds already should i do something other than the 14/10?

How often should I water and should I use some kind of neuts for veg and if so any suggestions of brand and how much?

hey

ive got a few questions i was hoping i could get answered. Im interested in growing a plant, just the 1, with my brother.

I have been told that hydroponics is the best medium to grow in, not only because it helps towards bigger yields but also because once it is set up there is very little work needed as the system flow does everything..The only thing you need to do is make sure the nute levels are correct and change the lighting stages....how true is this?

As i am only looking to start by growing the one plant i obviously wont be needing a big system..
http://www.aquaculture-hydroponics.co.uk/product.aspx?tabID=4&productID=1305&categoryID=347&subCategoryID=347

That is a link to a system i found...Will that be reasonable enough to grow the one plant? i dont want a huge plant, im just very interested in growing and enjoy a smoke and want to give it a go on a small scale. Also because i only have a lil closet to do this in.

Im also looking at getting a 400w light with a MH and HPS bulb...Is 400W too much for one plant? should i just get a 250?

Im sure i will think of more questions but if i could just get some advice i would much appreciate it...

Cheers people :joint:

With a hydro system you will have to keep track of the water level ( I usually have to add a gallon ever 2-3 days). keep up with the ph level ( you want to keep it around 5.8 And you have to change your reservior water out every 2 weeks with fresh water and nutes. A 400 watts light might be a overkill for just one plant but a 250 would be better for a small grow.
