Newbie

i say go for the tall tent in the 60-80 for height so you don't have to worry about restricted plant stretching or light height
Thanks for the info, Im going to go with the one that I linked, I could go taller but I can't actually find any in the 2x2 range that has anything taller.
any recommendations for a good fan and filter?

They are pretty quite I mean it is a fan blowing through a carbon filter so you will hear it but it’s not obnoxious or anything. And yes you can put them on the outside I mean I have my fan in the tent but the carbon filter on my one tent is on the outside of the upper side hole but on my other tent I have the fan and filter inside the tent drawing the air through it and out of my house cause that’s my flower tent but you can do it either way

Have you decided on what your gonna grow out of? And are you gonna grow autos or photos? Your probably gonna need a little humidifier for your tent as well

ill be using a 5 gallon and soil. Not ideal but i will be using seeds that i have randomly got from buds ( i label them and put them in a jar so i know what strain it is ) I think i will try orange cookies, do-si-do, velvet purps or afghani

If you ever get money for it or have extra cash you should order seeds from a reputable seed bank like memphisto or something those seeds you have might have a tendency to hermie but I’ve grown bag seeds and didn’t have that issue but it is a roll of the dice. Plus you might want to repot your way up to a 5 gallon pot start in something smaller. What type of soil were you gonna get??

I’ve been using promix hp it’s a soiless medium and I have been liking it plus it was a huge bag for only 40 bucks. I start my seedlings in it and use it through out the grow. If you use fox farm it’s a little hot but I have started plenty of seedlings in it and used it for whole grows but I wouldn’t add any nutes to it for like the first like 3-4 weeks

Thank you guys for all the help thus far super appreciate it. After thinking about it I think i am going to get some seeds but first i have a few questions.
I know i should be looking for feminized seeds but they all say something like, F7 Feminized, F6 feminized etc what should i be getting ? What strain would you suggest for a first time grow? im looking at maphisto genetic like you reccomeded

Just look for one you like and make sure it’s easy to grow it should say that in description and the f thing I think is how many feminized seeds your getting so if it says f7 they are giving you 7 feminized seeds they will give you some freebies as well

This is what i have found out
F1 stands for a "first generation hybrid". When two strains with completely different genotypes breed, for example, a Master Kush with Durban Poison, their offspring will be an F1 hybrid. When this hybrid is bred together with another F1 hybrid from the same batch (a sister or a brother), it creates an F2 hybrid. When this process is repeated, it creates an F3, then F4, and so on. After F5, the plants can be considered as IBL.
IBL stands for “inbred line”, meaning that after several generations of hybridising a specific lineage, the strains become almost like a different family of strains. Skunks were hybridised and selected for their very pungent and potent nature, and after many generations, they developed into the Cheese family, which can be called an IBL.
