MG nutes will work, I just told someone else that a 15-30-15 would be ok to use, if you can't find a source for something better. Keep in mind though that they contain some somewhat questionable ingrediants in terms of the quality of the sources they use , some say this makes the buds taste bad??? can't say as I have never used em

My advice is if you can in any way find a source for good quality nutes you should, I use Jack's Classic only cost $5 and is available at most nurseries
ok and on my light issue. how close should they be and home many more do i need

1 to 2 inches away and the earlier advice to get reflective hoods was good advice, the taller they get the more side lighting your gonna want and a mixed spectrum is best

If you want to stay with cfl's I would add a couple of 65 watt 2700K(actual wattage, 300 watt equivelant) they are $15 at home depot the 10 inch hoods are like $10 each

remember you want a minimum of 50 watts per sq ft and a minimum of 3000 lumens

1 100W equiv. CFL w/ 1400 lumens @ 5500K
1 150W equiv. CFL w/ 2600 lumens @ 2700K
Just so you know from now on. When talking about light bulbs. No one says "equivalent to such and such" in incandescent. It doesn't mean anything. All that matters is the wattage that it truly draws, the lumen that results, and the kelvin scale.

Here is where things can lead to quick confusion. You say you have a 100W equiv at 1400 lumen. Most "100W" equivalents produce 1600 lumen. So you bulb is either:
a. A poor efficiency CFL.
b. A lower wattage, and therefore lower lumen, then most all "100W equivalents" on the market.

So just remember "equivalence means nothing, its all lumen/watt".

15-30-15 is really more of a flowering nutrient level, for veg get something w/higher nitrogen and lower phosphorus and potassium. some people will also try telling you that your flowering nutes should have no nitrogen at all but dont listen to them, lol
