Hello Fellow RIU users! I'm new to the site and attempting to break ground but not so much to the mj community and was hoping I could get some info from experienced members.

I'm looking on setting up a micro setup (2-4 plants) and would like to use a soilless mix that has pretty low moisture retention, so watering everyday is going to be almost necessary. If I wanted to go visit the family for a weekend or something along those lines, would setting up a drip system (to waste) for automation be a good idea? I would just like to put like a 10 gallon res with an air-stone and setup the drip to feed the plants periodically?

And the product drip clean, has anyone used it with good results? I keep reading about drippers being getting plugged every couple of days? I dont want that!! haha

To sum it up I have enough freetime to watch over my ladies constantly when lights on, but if I had to leave I would like to know my system can be automated for a few days.

Any experienced top-drip growers wanna shed some light on design?? :mrgreen

Thanks guys and gals :peace:

Yes, yes, and yes,

Your on the right track. The Drip Clean is pretty cool shit, I would recommend it if your going to use drippers.

i use regular drippers with no cleaning medium, never had any problems so far, has bin 6 month and they work like in day one. I also use coco becous it drains very well. i set my timer on the drippers and they work outomatticly! i go in 2-3 days to see how they are doing and thats it!

ronshamen, what kind of feeding intervals are you using for coco? glad to hear the drip lines are working for you, do you mind expanding on your setup a bit?

just gathering info before I get my feet wet :)

i used bio-bizz for nutes, they are very messy and thick and still- had no clogging probs. but they are very messy and i wont use them for next grow. gonna use hessi this time. i had only one female, a blue cheese, in 3 gallon pot w/ coco mix 50/50 perllite, under 400 hps. this wedensday im gonna harvest after 10 weeks of flowering.
