Newbie. Week 8 of flower and leaves going yellow

Hi guys. Im nearly at the end of my grow (i think) but some of the leaves are going yellow.

I used baby bio about 4 times during veg period then nothing other than water since.

They are only a little plants. Only using small pots and 2x 50w LED. Planted in soil.

They were leftover seeds I got in some bud so thought I'd plant them and see what happend. Didn't think they would make it this far. They have flowered for just over 8 weeks.

Is it normal for the leaves to go yellow at this point? Should I add nutrients now? Are they nearly done?

The end is (almost) near! - she'll shed more leaves before she's done though; part of the process.

Watch for amber trichomes and listen to ppl with more experience than me.

Well there’s 2 schools of thought on that.
The flush camp, use the last couple of weeks to feed just water and “flush out” any nutrients in the root zone which some believe leads to smoother smoke.
The the non flushers, generally soil growers who like to feed up to crop and claim flushing is wasting feeding time.
Which camp are you?
Edited for spelling

Thanks for the responses .

I will get a magnifying glass and check the trichromes.

As I haven't used any nutrients in about 2months and only water I thought I didn't need to flush. Am I wrong?

I don't feed (technically) --- FFOF for seedlings, transplant to 5 gal FFOF, top dressed with FFOF, top dressed with FFOF

So I guess you could say I flush from day 1 :bigjoint:

To flush or not to flush - a great question to turn your thread sideways! lol
To answer - no feeding for 2 months would be flushed.

No you’re right.
Personally, I think adding feed now is a waste as your plant is using up its reserves already and you’re close to finished (waiting to be corrected). Good luck mate

plants near their end of cycle do a process called senescence, they use what's left in the leaves to finish up, perfectly normal

Hi guys.

Me again.

I am now going into the 10th week of flower. Are these lady's ready for harvest? Some look like they still have white hairs growing.

If I was to harvest today would it still get me high? Iv been telling my gf for weeks it will be finished that week haha. So if I can harvest I will don't mind so much if miss out on a couple grams due to growth. But will it still get me high.

They're not ready yet. I'd say 2 weeks or so.

If you harvest today, yes it'll get you high, but it won't be as strong and won't last as long. You also will miss out on weight.

If you're desperate just clip off a couple tops and let the rest finish.

Ok kl. It's more just the GF busting my balls. I thought they would be finished in early June and have told her every week since "it will be finished this week" haha. Said that for the past 6 weeks.

I can see them getting fatter and smellier. So' I'll try hang in another week, if I can.

Gorgeous...gorgeous....just pretty man.
First, nice job!

Be patient. Once picked it NEEDS 10 days before its any good imo. It can be smoked right away of course, but the change in effect as it begins drying is insane! Try a tiny piece each day after harvest (like a hit) and feel how it improves.

Meaning...your girl may be ready but the bud is not! It seems crazy yo keep waiting but if you do, you will look back and laugh that you were so anxious. A week or 2 for perfection my man. Those are nice nugs.

What is the best way to dry and cure it? Think im going to do my harvest this weekend.

I have a mate who said to put them in jars with lemons and oranges to add more flavour. Is this something you recommend?

Run it til wheels fall off .... 8 weeks is not an absolute. Many times strains finish BETTER running to a point beyond breeder estimates. At least a week or so.

You want maximum maturity “ overall “ and not what week you are on. Plants do not run on calendars, they become harvest ready based on your grow environment / skill not what others have done.

Noooo lemons or oranges, that’s very 90’s. There are way more efficient ways to maintain humidity after drying. Head over to amazon and get some Boveda packs.
First step is you gotta dry them, I cut them and trim them wet then hang them for 5-10 days before going in mason jars for several weeks. Personally I wouldn’t smoke bud for at least 3-4 weeks after harvest... this site has some great harvest/curing guides, check em out. Just remember, patience is key to dank nuggets
