newbie questions

hey all,

a few quick questions. i tried search already, and it was taking a while, so i would prefer to get all my answers easily and organized. so here goes:

1. when can i start telling the sex of a plant? i received some rooted clones about two weeks back, one of them is already sprouting what i believe to be a single brown pistil?

2. what causes plants to go hermie? i heard that it is stress caused during light cycle... umm, this sucks but i don't really have a "set" place for my plants, so sometimes i move them outside, sometimes i move them inside, sometimes they get direct light, sometimes reflected light, sometimes 24 hours, sometimes 18... basically the amount/type of light and what locations i am putting them in is constantly in flux... could that cause them enough stress to go hermie on me? :(

it was taking a while so u want someone to tell u everything
i think u need to be more patient and research some more
i think u will find that to be easier than trying to get someone to tell u everything
it seems like being impatient is what got u in this predicament

im just fuckin with ya :weed:

1) umm that brown pistil is a leaf. you can veg until they show preflowers. some dont consider this definite. or you can maybe veg for a month then put them in flower and after a week or two they should show signs of sex

2) yes. get a grow cab. ive seen people that are growing in cardboard boxes. not something id recodmmend but its definitley better than moving your plants around and fucking with their groove. if you know what i mean.

1) If they were rooted clones, then surely they would have come from a female, unless you recieved them from someone completely clueless.

2) It shouldn't matter too much in veg, but try and get these issues sorted out before you begin flowering, at which point they will need a consistent 12 hours of complete, uninterrupted darkness per day.

thanks. u were on the right track. of course i know they were from a female mother plant. i got them from a cannabis club in california. i'm asking about sexing because i'm worried that the stress i'm causing them (hence question #2) will make them go hermie.

actually if u read the questions they r simple questions that can be answered with some research
obviously he didnteven try to look up anything
he would learn more CORRECT information if he did it himself...then when he has more concept he will find that there wasnt any need to ask these questions
and u can look up anything i write i try to help anyone
but this is just laziness

are you fucking serious. he offered you some serious advice and you start calling him a troll. for one this is the fucking general marijuana growing section. not the newbie section, which is directly fuckin under this one. two, you signed your original post with peace and love. what a fuckin hypocrite. and if you looked at the times of moash's and mines post they are literally within a minute. if i saw his first i would have said fuck it, but i felt fuckin nice and helped you out.
